DK Super Bowl 59: Hail to the Chief

Seems very plausible, although Philly's defensive coordinator Vic Fangio is 0-8 vs Mahomes but one thing for sure is Fangio is pretty much familiar with Mahomes. Unlike Fangio's past record vs Chiefs, Philly's defense is finished 1st in defensive DVOA in 2024. And in the 2025 playoffs, Eagles are second in points allowed/game, and 1st in takeaways/giveaways per game.

In this postseason, Eagles are number 2 in the rushing yards/game at 227.7 and ten rushing touchdowns. Chiefs are allowed 148 yards/game on the ground, so I guess that Kansas City can be run at in this Super Bowl. 

Eagles would probably try to limit Mahomes' playing time as less as possible. But can they do that? One way they may succeed it by running the football , and couple with short slant or screen passes, this also could counter Spagnuolo's blitz schemes. 

I like the under more and more than few days back, DK.       

I like PHL, and as I run more queries and analyze more data the stronger my opinion becomes.

Much more better as a coordinator than he was a head coach. What a disaster he was in Denver. Game management not his strong suit, he can just focus on one thing and one thing only! 

KC run defense has been susceptible as of late. I imagine they'll try to correct this with 2 weeks to prepare so they may tighten up a bit. We shall see but definitely a point of emphasis for Philly to test and attack. Barkley is having himself a year feed him the ball no matter his violent running style will def wear down the KC interior as the game goes on

Good morning. It's game day. Can't say I'm thrilled with this year's Super Bowl. Maybe I will enjoy the ads more than the game itself 

My perception how this game will play out:

Thinking it will unfold like Giants vs Patriots part 2. Both teams offense will be fluttery to start the game so low scoring 1st half. I don't think Hurts and Mahomes will play spectacular but will do just enough on offense to get some scores in. I think the scoring will pick up a bit in the 2H. Game likely goes down to the wire someone makes the tough catch to break the game open and makes a key stop to seal the win.

 When the Eagles played the Ravens earlier in the season just had some feeling they were destined. Their physicality was what striked me while watching them play and they obviously brought the can out tonight. If my team were to make it to the Super bowl I don't think Ravens win , our 2-0 perfect Super Bowl record still spared for now lol. Yup on the right side again, nice chattin these playoffs

Hard to say if they'll repeat against the AFC but their window is now. Well run organization 

The NFC competition is pretty sparse imo so they could definitely get back to this stage again. Whose really there besides the 49ers? Lions*?(NFC North was fraud division as these playoffs proved)

I just checked their schedule next year. AFC West and NFC North mainly. Their title defense will be tougher than this year's schedule thats for sure. They ain't going 14-3 again, maybe 12-5, or at best 13-4.
