I never got this "trap" line issue and people thinking it's real. The only thing real is that you have forseen something the linemakers have info about. Maybe it's some practice report, a power raking or inside info by the janitor saying HC held a 50min long lecture and threatend to go public with the players sex & drugs habits should they lose one more.
The question when one sees a "good to be truth" line is to ask, why ? What am I missing ?
Colts are one dimensional, but that one dimension is like Twilight Zone, even tho everyone knows what to expect, they still get cought off guard. Div foe, playing away, to a team in a hole and desperate for a win, +3 is not a value line, there is the fact that like with the Dolphins game, you have to expect that final drive when up by 3 and possibility to lose the game (and the bet) on last plays TD.
I would play Titans @+4.5, Colts @pk, so I'm thinking it's pretty sharp line and it doesn't matter that game ends 31-10, it's all about where the line moves you.

Freeney played against the Seahawks...Unless Sorgi steps in 4 Peyton,I wouldn't play the Titans with found money...Young steps in this week,he's there future not Collins....Sunday night Peyton will torch that D.....

just because a team has to win doesnt mean they will..... that whole concept 'Team needs this game, or a team has to win, or they cant lose this many in a row' is all overated.... you could say that about a million times during a season, this team has to win....

I was on the Titans this week big cause i thought they would win (not necessarily cause they had to win) .... i thought they were a better team that the Jax but obviously i was dead wrong and now have empty pockets cause of it.

Continue to watch this line movement, it'll go up, similar to last weeks Bengals/ Browns game, remember that was a divisional matchup too. While the Bengals would not rank as high as the Colts, the Titans would not have ranked as low as the Browns either. I locked in the Browns last week, SUN, @ +6 (started @ +3), while everyone and his brother seemed to have the Bengals. Don't bet on the Titans because they are due, fact is, they are going to run the ball right at INDY and being at home gives them a clear opportunity for an upset. I always like teams that were embarrassed O.T.R coming back home getting points, i.e. Browns destroyed on road by Ravens before Bengals game, as TENN was at the JAGS'. Professional pride, emotion kicks in and can overcome lack of talent, don't underestimate that, especially in a division game. Remember it is the NFL, on any given day. TENN should be worth +4 on SUN, I'm thinking, and will wait till then to lock this one in. Any longtime Colts fan I would bet would say this a going to be a very dangerous game for Manning & co, especially with no Sanders or Freeney too. TAKE THE POINTS!

i'll take Miami +1* vs the Jets and Atlanta +2.5* vs SF
Wow I completely disagree. Have you seen Peyton this yr? He has been dominating Ds. The Titans have a horrible pass D, your looking too much into it I got Indy -3.5. Also I took the Jets -2. I am also locked in against you...

SF - one of the best teams in the league at home (or anywhere). Hill undefeated at home as a starter. atl needed gifts against mia and car to win. didnt get any vs ne and got killed.
tenn worst pass D combined with banged up secondary vs manning. they might control the clock and keep it tight, but what it theyre up by 3 in the 4th quarter? Manning down the field for the cover no doubt about it.
mia - you gonna trust Henne and vs jets D? he's gonna complete a couple passes to Revis if he doesnt fumble first. Sanchez on the road isnt always safe, but one team brings the wood on D and one team doesnt. Can you guess which one? jets in a blowout.
good luck regardless

mia, atl, tenn. you have big big balls

the real sucker bet was cincy vs cleveland last week. i knew this was a field goal game all the way, but down 14-0 early i thought cleveland was fucked.
i like to bet situations and shady lines, and would love to bet tenn this week, but just cant do it. sorry

Everybody and their mother (including most in this thread) look at it and go, Peyton, Colts, easy. Titans have been horrible and it's only -3.5? "take the colts to the bank, no question about it"
Divisional Dog, Jeff Fisher, and the Titans get some DB's back just in time. You guys forget what Miami did to this Colt's D? This game is about clock control, and the run. The line is short, and everybody is lining up on the Colts.
TEN is the play no doubt

Of course it's a trap game.

lol, go ahead bet aginst Payton on a prime-time game. This isn't even a no play for me, pounding the Colts, pounding them hard. Payton will cover that -4 spread in the first 4min's of the game. 3 starters out in Titans secondary. Stop Chris Johnson and this game is a lock.

This is a tough one for me. Part of me thinks that Tennessee is way better than their 0-4 first quarter and last year's team will come to life on Sunday night - Primetime... you figure the players are saying this is their chance to wipe the slate clean and get back into the division race at home against their arch rival.. I too have been thinking this for the past couple of weeks and have been horrified with the outcomes. I can stomach the Jets loss but giving up 37 pts to the lousy Jags.. come on people what gives.. I lost my ass on that one. I doubled my bet against the Jags thinking they can not go 0-4.. ouch.
Other than last week, Tennesse has been in each game. Taking the Steelers to overtime in Pitt and lost by a FG. Losing a close one at home to Houston (again by a FG).
Tennessee is a much better home team than a road team and they played 3 out of the 4 on the road. They come home and play in front of the nation with a huge one and last chance to redeem themselves against the Colts.
Colts are rolling along nicely.. maybe they have a letdown game on the road?? They are 0-4 but easily could be 2-2. Miami had them on the ropes and couldnt stop the rookie receivers and the Jags hung in their 14-12 in Indy..(they didnt cover spread in that one) maybe this will be like that? Look for the spread to end up at 3.5. Indy might lose or might win by a FG. But they will not blow out Tennessee in Tennessee. The last three times in Tennessee - Tennessee won twice and the time that Indy won it was 22-20 dogfight to the end.
This will be no different. Division games like this are always tight.. even if it is a landslide on paper. Similar to Cincy Cle last week.. On paper Cincy should have dominated but since it is a division rivalry you throw all that out and its a dogfight.
In my mind this game means much more to Tennessee than to Indy. It is an understatement to say it is a "must win". They not only must win but can realistically turn it around Sunday night, that would be a big Division win and give them a chance for the year.
My prediction a fairly low scoring dogfight -
Indy last minute drive wins by a FG or less.
Indy 20 - Tenn 19
GLA!!!!
