...to believing the mighty Patriots won't go 2-3 after next week and Tom Brady and Bill Belichek can't lose 2 primetime games in a row.
Ya that's right the Patriot's lose tonight and next sunday night the top dog of the AFC currently, the Bengals, beat New England in Foxboro. Every Joe in America will be pounding New England next week after they lose tonight with Tom and the boys.
This isn't 2004-2013 anymore. The Patriots aren't the same team.

Why will every joe pound the Patriots next week, if they lose tonight to the Chiefs? I would imagine every "Joe" would pound the undefeated and most impressive team so far...If they are impressive tonight maybe you have a point, but I just don't follow the logic...

Good question. the answer will be.,. MOST people will think to themselves. Ok Pats just lost on MNF and are now 2-2 and play SNF at home. Surely they can't lose 2 in a row in primetime. Remember there's a stat where the Pat's with Bill Belichek after a lose win a crazy % the next game. Simply put the Patriots don't lose 2 in a row with Brady and the coach.
People will lose site of the matchup vs the Bengals and play the "oh they can't lose 2 in a row, they are the Patriots" People are brainwashed from previous experiences and want to hold on to the past.

I don't believe "most people" think like that. Maybe the wannabe sharps. Most people see a team lose and think they suck, or see a team win and think they are great. Especially if they lost or won money on that team. Of course covers is a different playing field where everybody thinks they are an expert. Either way, there is in fact more to picking winners.
BOL to you, I don't necessarily disagree with the plays, but the logic is suspect...

Trust me i know many people who think like this when they bet. They are what i call captain crunch cappers. They open up the Sunday paper, look at the lines and make their picks. They don't put any research into a game they just go off instinct and what line looks good.
