Yeah..chiefs were sitting on the ball only up 7 start of the 4th...I guess when u only up 7..that game is over...So decided to just sit on the ball and run clock in the 4th up 7...Not try and score

Andy Reid has a very different way of coaching any time the Chiefs have a lead. That's why the Chiefs are so terrible at covering any spread over 3 points. It is one of my only criticisms of his coaching.

@Jimmy_Cats
The point I was trying to make is it was a defensive game..both teams had less than 300 yards...In a low scoring defensive game.. the Hill Fumble return minimum 10 point swing is a major deciding factor...with the final score 21-14.....Don't know how u can say it was not a factor..If the score was 38-24 Chiefs..Yes it it was not a factor..but 21-14 with limited possession by both teams in a defensive game was the difference...

@davemsh
Sure it was a factor, but Tyreek fumbled on the 38 yard line. It's not like they were on the goal line. Had he been tackled right where he fumbled, the Dolphins would have had 3rd down and 15 yards to go for a 1st down. That's hardly a 10-14 point swing. It was no more a factor when Mahomes fumbled on his own 20 yard line. Miami scored a TD a few plays after that. Everything like that is a factor.

Dave, did you not even read what I said here?? Let me repeat it, I'll slow it down a bit this time.... Go look at the box score and play by play if you need a memory refresher. 14-0 KC with :33 in 2Q when Cooks returns the Tyreek fumble for TD to make it 21-0....NOT the 3rd Q at 21-14. Now that the factual information has been restated, I'll repeat myself and highlight the "meat".
Never mind the fact that KC was up 14-0 on Miami. That fumble return for TD, making it 21-0, also affected how the game flow went from that point on. That is, how both KC and Miami made in-game adjustments to what they were doing and how they were doing it. Offensive play calls, run/pass splits, defensive coverages, etc. etc.
Point is, it is absolutely ridiculously wrong to cap postgame based on the isolation of one particular play sequence in the 2nd quarter. You, me and everyone else here cannot realistically say how that game would've played out if the fumble had not been returned. Just like if Mahomes would have thrown a pick 6 in the 2Q instead of a TD, we don't know how the players and coaches would've operated and played out that football game.
McDaniels and Reid would've called the game in a different manner had that fumble NOT been returned to make it 21-0. YOU don't KNOW how the game would've played out hense, you cannot predict what else could've happen in the remaining 30 minutes of play. That is not reality, sorry. KC didn't score on ANYONE in the 2H all year. Their 2H Unders came in at a ridiculous rate all season because of this. Please don't get it twisted that Miami was somehow the magic defense to keep Mahomes in check that 2H.

100%
In game adjustments, 2H adjustments, injuries, etc. etc. all are factors for decisions evolving throughout the course of a game. It's not as simple as "well if he didn't fumble then they would've won". Unless that play happened with 1-2 minutes left in the game and there were ZERO other factors involved that led the team to either win or lose, statements like that are just ignorant and show a level of misunderstanding that tells me someone shouldn't be wagering on football games. To each his own though so keep on keeping on if that's what floats your boat. I'm not going to spend anymore time trying to show otherwise, go have at it

@ChOmP
Just curious where do the Chiefs defense rank against the run?
dvoa efficiency they are near the bottom of the league in run defense, like 27th or so.... Miami should have some success running the ball on them.

@kcblitzkrieg
Tell me how many times this season the chiefs were shut out in the 2nd half? 4 times? So u telling me this is by design by Andy Reid..Got it Cheifs offense is Nowhere what it was..Their offense is atrocious...But u telling me that Hill Fumble has no bearance on the outcome in a 21-14 game which was the score at the end of the 3rd quarter... where the Chiefs could not even move the ball all half...OK. Sure..Andy Ried By design..He played conservative..just like they have done all season long...Hilarous...U acting like the chiefs average 30+ points per game and because they were up 21-0 they just decided to run clock on purpose all 2nd half..even when the score was cut to 21-7..21-14..
Andy Reid sure did run clock by design vs the Raiders...It was by design....

Are u making stuff up? Go look at the play by play....2nd and 6 from the chiefs 30 yard line.....IF HILL does not fumble it just a play for no gain or 1 or 2 yard loss...If Hill recovers the fumble it's 14-0 at worse halftime assuming they get nothing on 3rd down and miss a 50 yard FG.....So u telling me that Hill fumble and recovery and lateral and run back for a TD is so common in the NFL....That the Dolphins would not have gotten points on that drive regardless......Only Fumble all year by Tyreke Hill... 21-14 Final and that play had NOTHING to do with the outcome...Chiefs were moving the ball up and down the field all game right? Maholmes was shredding the Dolphins Defense but only passed for 185 yards and Dolphins could not stop the chiefs and at some point Andy Reid said..stop scoring and play conservative and make it a close game......OK Bud...KC's offense puts up 14 whooping points and and the best receiver in the game who's only fumble on the season is recovered and lateraled and run back fro 65 yards end of the 1st half.. on 10 point swing...

How is that a swing for KC...They were on their own 30 yard line and Mahomes gets sacked..They were going to score?.. Do u know what a "swing" is..Its when a team who has the ball is in scoring range and about to score and 1 play later the other team scored on a defensive TD...Hence the 10-14 point swing...

Yes, 2nd and 7 at the 30. Then Tua throws Tyreek a pass 8 yards behind the line of scrimmage. Tyreek fumbled at the KC 38. If he recoered there, the Phins are looking at 3rd and 14. Here it is, copy and paste from ESPN:
(0:33 - 2nd) (Shotgun) T.Tagovailoa pass short left to T.Hill to KC 38 for -8 yards (T.McDuffie). FUMBLES (T.McDuffie), RECOVERED by KC-M.Edwards at KC 37. M.Edwards to KC 41 for 4 yards. Lateral to B.Cook for 59 yards, TOUCHDOWN.H.Butker extra point is GOOD, Center-J.Winchester, Holder-T.Townsend.
There is no reason to discuss this any further. They play again in 3 days. May the best team win.

Oh my..... never anywhere did I say they were shut out in the 2H each game. Nor did I infer it was "by Andy's design". The offense is a shell of it's former self averaging only 21.8 ppg. Past seasons with Mahomes they averaged right around 29/30 ppg.
KC offense was 29th in 2H scoring in the league averaging 7.5 ppg
KC defense was 1st in 2H scoring in the league averaging giving up 7.4 ppg
They hit a ridiculous number of 2H Unders for the year, I think at 14-3 or something close to it. That was my point, THEY HAVE ISSUES SCORING IN THE 2H. I like to use stats and facts in the real world, I see you do not and obviously have some reading comprehension issues going on and like to put words into peoples mouths. No time for that in this forum, I'll go to the cesspool politics sub if I want to have some fun, be amused with ignorance and waste some time with people like this.
You realize I'm not even talking here about backing Miami, I have no issue with Miami backers taking 4 points here. Personally I don't think Tua has what it takes to win this game but that's not my point here. My original, and only point, was how you are evaluating this matchup based on a single play that happened with 30 minutes still left in the ball game. End of story.
At this point I can't tell if you are even being serious right now....I think not so really no further reason to discuss. Good luck to you in life. out.

@Jimmy_Cats
The Chiefs also beat Kirk Cousins, who is a very good QB.
Yes, Kirky is "good". Having only 2 wins versus "good" QB's in this league is not good.

Wrong...He threw it back to Hill at the 32 and Hill starts bobbling the ball and its fumbled back 3--4 yards..google Hills fumble vs Chiefs

One thing I do realize is Miami was only in the Buffalo game because of Josh Allen’s turnovers.. and as bad as KC is this year offensively I trust them a lot more in the snow.. also as crappy as there run defense is right now they won’t have to worry about passes over the top to tyreek as much.. they should be able to focus more on shutting down the one thing Miami is good at doing which is the run game..
Good Luck with your team
