I don't need anyone to agree with me, the following words are just my opinion and I personally just want one thing: taking advantage in the future.

The NFL is a company with a $10BN revenue. $6BN annually alone from TV broadcasts.

Put the name "NFL" aside and ask yourself a question: if you were the CEO of a company with $10BN revenue, wouldn't you do everything possible to make your product(s) more profitable? Do you think that every company in the world works clean?

The NFL sells a product and sometimes they help to make the product more profitable.

ESPN pays $110M for each Monday Night Football game. How does ESPN generate profit? By showing 60-80 ads per game. They have to give their customers certain guarantees for ratings. How do you keep people interested in the game? By entertainment. People keep watching a game if unexpected things happen. If the home favorite who is expected to win, wins by 24 after the third, they are likely to switch channels.

What happened in 2015? Of the 14 home favs, only two covered and 7 lost straight up. Of the 14 games, 11 have been decided by one score with 9 straight to finish the season. Overall, favs went 2-13-1 ATS on MNF with 12 one-score finishes.

What happened on Thursday Night Football? Out of 16 games, 11 have been decided by one single score. That's entertainment. Twitter bought the rights to broadcast Thursday Night Football games in 2016. Companies will go crazy paying for ads. You can expect the one-score rate atleast not to drop.

My pick are the Colts. It's all about storylines and what a great storyline would it be if Andrew Luck - the new face of the AFC - wins the Super Bowl in his hometown Houston?

Peyton is gone, Tom Brady is 39 and messes with the NFL. Who else is there in the AFC? Big Ben already has two rings and got a few shots left. Marcus Mariota and Jameis Winston? Too early. Alex Smith? No. Philip Rivers? Maybe. Derek Carr? He is not polarizing and it's too early. Andrew Luck signed the biggest contract in NFL history and will be the new face of the AFC for years to come. How to kick off the era with a Super Bowl win? Just let that sink for a moment. It only takes 15 minutes. After watching it you can't tell me that game wasn't fixed by the refs. They wanted the best offense vs. the best defense in the league in the Super Bowl. The rise of the Legion Of Boom. Without the refs, the Seahawks would be without a Super Bowl win now. Then in 2015, it was Seahawks vs. Patriots in the Super Bowl.

Not saying that the majority of games is fixed. But sometimes we need to read between the lines.

I don't dislike you at all really, mafioso. You poked at me, I poked back, or vise versa. I don't hold arbitrary grudges and overall I actually find many of your posts to be entertaining and purposeful. With that said, my stance on the fix has always been more centered around the implausibility of people carrying out these fixes without screwing up, getting caught, squeeling, etc. Many humans are incompetent by nature and if given complicated tasks will often fail in some way. This alone tells me players are not involved as most would agree they are likely not the sharpest tools in the shed. It also is not plausible to me why the league would care who I wager my money on as they make about a gazillion dollars in TV & merchandizing revenue. This in my mind narrows down the list of fixing suspects to perhaps a few rogue individuals, of which I have never denied as a possibility. My personal handicapping strategy has nothing to do with fixes, stats or x's & o's, but rather I try to always be on the opposite side of what I believe is the public perception. If a line seems to short, it probably isn't. If a line seems to large, it probably isn't. If a line seems to easy, it probably isn't. I will typically handicap an entire weeks slate of games in about 30 seconds. The only fix I see is the one oddsmakers apply to our minds.

My best example of this was 2 years ago when Detroit was at Dallas playoff game.

Refs did everything in their power to insure a Dallas victory.
