And calling me a "wanna be wise person" and a "perpetual loser"
is somehow different?
In case you don't recall, YOU cast the first stone.
As far as your background is concerned, it's public information that can be obtained with a simple Google search.
Btw, threatening anyone on here will get you banned.
Saying during the conversation to another person that he is a perpetual loser and wanna be a wise man is far from calling a person conman and accusing him of being part of some kind of a scam. Besides - all my addresses to you sir were in a most respectful manner ending up with a handshake. I didn't cast any stone. My background is clean and very positive. I have nothing to hide or to be ashamed of. My name, whereabouts, family origin and the color of my skin as well as me not giving a damn about the racial issues are well known publicly. And, my name and reputation are unblemished. You won't find one person that I ever offended or had uncivilized dispute with. You are clearly misguided in a good case and and misguiding others in a worse case to believe that you are holding some kind of a moral inspector position and can throw accusations at people at your will. No. You can't. You are accountable when you insult without any reason and throw false accusations at others blaming them to be conman and part of some scam. That is criminal. If you wish to pursue that path further down and find out where will it lead - please, be my guest.

Tombstoned,If games werent fixedwhy would public perception matter? To mePublic perception is a way to identify the fixGranted people gotta win sometimes toobut its those games You know the ones Im talking aboutTHOSE GAMESa perfect example Carolina -6 vs a dead in the water Colts TeamCarolina Dominated that game for 3 quarters and first score of the 4th quarter23-6 was the scoreI was scratching my head thru whole 3 quarters SMHHow are they going to let the public win this gameMy cousin who is a book in San Diego told me He doesnt have one not ONE Colts BetAll Panthers and those who were up Put everything on the lineand those who were down bet not only to get even but to make a lights out profit.I started questioning Are these games really fixed? or am I living in a delusional worldLike some posters here have said.Ofcourse no one at everyedge questioned my fix theories once Tim Donahy was caught fixing games but I questioned my selfthen it happenedMonumental comeback and if you can go back and watch the gameYou will seethe refs did their part to help engineer the comebackand looks like the defensive play calling by the Panthers took the rest of the night offIt wasnt until the colts took a field goal lead in OT did the Panthers spring back to life winning 29-26Was that just public perception?Or something more sinister?the line opened at 6.5all the money in the world on the Panthersand yet the line doesnt close at 6.5doesnt close at 7not 7.5It was 5.5 to 6 the whole day and closed at 6This tells me that Bookmakers were so comfortable with that game SOMEHOW so Comfortablethat they never moved it according to public perceptionthey dropped it to sucker in more Carolina action. If the books position is to split bets they had no intention of doing it on this game another game was UTAH 5-0 or 6-0 vs a struggling USC teamUSC went from a 2.5 point favorite to a -6.5 favorite all the while everyone and their mother was pounding UTAHMy cousin said he told all his clients its -4 and thats ithe refused to raise it to -6.5all the money was still on Utah +4 with him +6.5 everywhere elseUSC Blows them out by 28
I hear you, brother! It's THOSE GAMES that keep this debate alive.
It's also interesting that the cues you look for to identify a 'fix' are the same as what I and others look for to identify public perception line value.
Maybe we're not so different after all? Lol

You mean you used the FIX angle to preict SB 50. The term public perception, and fading the same, is a tacit admission that games are fixed. When you fade the "public", it doesn't mean you think the public is stupid. It means the money is heavily loaded on that side, and you KNOW Vegas and the powers that be are unlikely to be willing to lose that mega moolah. Therefore, your common sense tells you the fix will be in, to either have the other team cover or win out right.
This is textbook game-fixing mentality 101. You can say it openly, my dear friend. There is never any harm in calling a spade a spade.
Ugh! So many things wrong with this, but since I like you so much I'll let it go.

Interestingly, Savitch was heavily criticized during her career for her lack of reporting prowess, but her insights on Frontline as depicted in this expose significantly exceed anything I currently see on CNN, FOX, MSNBC or even PBS from the standpoint of investigative journalism
IMHO
That's because who you see on those channels today are not journalists. They are talking heads, news readers, and Teleprompter machines. They don't investigate anything. They have guests on their shows and say some outlandish things for ratings and then go to commercial.
Journalism in the mainstream media is DEAD.

Online books take wagers on regular non prime time games trying to balance the money so they can make money on PNL, or Juice (those who don't know what am I talking about -please leave this thread now)
Stage two
Excess bets - ones that can not be balanced are placed as the wagers with the books with better odds, so, in case the bet wins, the first book also gains some money for the trouble. If the bet loses - nothing happened. Hours worked on are lost.
Stage three
Books with better odds that received all the excess bets/money from the books who couldn't balance it - try to balance it themselves as they have bigger choice and more bets - their own and the excess bets from others. Whatever they can balance - they make juice on - whatever they can't, they cover themselves against the losses by placing the excess bets with Vegas casinos and hotels directly or thru the runners in case they are not accepted there for some reason
Stage four
Vegas is trying to balance the bets from their own and the ones they received as excess ones from the other books. Whatever they can balance is good. They also manipulate lines to try to balance the bets and if they balance it - they leave it at that. If the case is lost and the bets can not be balanced in extreme way - the fix is happening.
On prime time games it is a fix from the beginning with favorites rarely covering and over rarely happening.
That is the reality. How do I know? I don't know anything. I just figure that is how it must be happening following the logic.
There is no question if the game outcomes are manipulated. The question is in what cases and how often? Just for the greed or is it a proper business decision?
The next question you gotta ask yourself is -are there any businesses that do not operate on greed? Is NFL a non profit organization? Is Vegas a non profit operation?
Are all the jack a$$es here who'd rather keep their heads up their butts rather than give it a breather and look around - are those jack a$$es Vegas sent or they are just jacking on their own?

I don't need anyone to agree with me, the following words are just my opinion and I personally just want one thing: taking advantage in the future.
The NFL is a company with a $10BN revenue. $6BN annually alone from TV broadcasts.
Put the name "NFL" aside and ask yourself a question: if you were the CEO of a company with $10BN revenue, wouldn't you do everything possible to make your product(s) more profitable? Do you think that every company in the world works clean?
The NFL sells a product and sometimes they help to make the product more profitable.
ESPN pays $110M for each Monday Night Football game. How does ESPN generate profit? By showing 60-80 ads per game. They have to give their customers certain guarantees for ratings. How do you keep people interested in the game? By entertainment. People keep watching a game if unexpected things happen. If the home favorite who is expected to win, wins by 24 after the third, they are likely to switch channels.
What happened in 2015? Of the 14 home favs, only two covered and 7 lost straight up. Of the 14 games, 11 have been decided by one score with 9 straight to finish the season. Overall, favs went 2-13-1 ATS on MNF with 12 one-score finishes.
What happened on Thursday Night Football? Out of 16 games, 11 have been decided by one single score. That's entertainment. Twitter bought the rights to broadcast Thursday Night Football games in 2016. Companies will go crazy paying for ads. You can expect the one-score rate atleast not to drop.
Another point is the globalization that forces the NFL to care for the best possible entertainment. The Vikes drafted German WR Moritz Boehringer in the 6th round. Do you think that's coincidence? That guy has potential, but it's more about advertising. The Vikes don't have a deep WR corps so it's not unlogical to give such an inexperienced guy a roster spot. The Facebook accounts of the Vikings and NFL are posting in German language now. Football has been booming here the last couple years and it's getting hotter and hotter. Last Friday they posted links for the NFL Gamepass: "Watch the debut of Moritz Boehringer tonight". I have seen more social media stuff on Boehringer than on the Jets' first round pick Darron Lee.
After they gave the Super Bowl to the worst offense to ever play in the big game last February to let the Sheriff ride into the sunset with a 2nd ring, you can expect to see a great passing offense win it this year. My pick are the Colts. It's all about storylines and what a great storyline would it be if Andrew Luck - the new face of the AFC - wins the Super Bowl in his hometown Houston?
Peyton is gone, Tom Brady is 39 and messes with the NFL. Who else is there in the AFC? Big Ben already has two rings and got a few shots left. Marcus Mariota and Jameis Winston? Too early. Alex Smith? No. Philip Rivers? Maybe. Derek Carr? He is not polarizing and it's too early. Andrew Luck signed the biggest contract in NFL history and will be the new face of the AFC for years to come. How to kick off the era with a Super Bowl win? Just let that sink for a moment. We can talk about that in January again.

It only takes 15 minutes. After watching it you can't tell me that game wasn't fixed by the refs. They wanted the best offense vs. the best defense in the league in the Super Bowl. The rise of the Legion Of Boom. Without the refs, the Seahawks would be without a Super Bowl win now. Then in 2015, it was Seahawks vs. Patriots in the Super Bowl.
Not saying that the majority of games is fixed. But sometimes we need to read between the lines.
Hi Suuma, really enjoy your insights. Thanks for the time you share with us. I want to comment on what you just wrote and remind everyone that the very guy who said it first and said it loud was Phixer and we all know what happened with him.

You people can laugh and shame the man as much as you want. He has his ups and downs - but overall he is very profitable for his clientele. I also don't like to pay and will never pay for the picks - but the numbers do not lie and I did check them.

After watching last night's college football - I had to come back to this thread and say how much of what is being discussed here in regard of Professional Sports is already there, at the college level. Some will say it was the Appalachian State who forced the Volunteers into such flat play as we witnessed, the non betting folk will say - wow, what a great game, what a drama, and us, the betting folk - we know very well what happened and why. When the line came down fro 22.5 to 21 despite the hype on Tennessee - I knew this might have happened but didn't want to risk the money in week 1. Yeap...
