Just think at the end of the day the KC/HOU game is a grinder/flip and I'll gladly take the 3.5 and pay to see KC score enough points on the road to beat a great D by margin.
Went to my notebook on the playoffs and have this one: "Up and coming teams that haven't been to the playoffs before seem to get bombed in their first game". Just anecdotal observation I had over the years and never got around to looking it up. However, I heard this week that teams that are in the playoffs after winning 4 or fewer games the year before are 2-15 SU and 1-16 ATS. I don't know if that's true as I haven't looked it up myself but I suspect it is based on what I've seen over the years. WSH fits the bill and are in trouble. I pounded GB. This is also what a call a "hindsight game"...meaning in hindsight am I going to feel like an idiot holding a certain ticket. And if I'm holding a ticket that has Kirk Cousins with a bad D to beat Aaron Rodgers then I'm going to feel moronic. Speaking of which...
AJ McCarron over Big Ben?!?!? Yes, on it's face it looks moronic. But I think the rest of the Bengals team is so solid that it mitigates the disadvantage they have at QB. Cincy has a Top 5 o-line, Top 5 skill guys, and a great pass D. Their only real weakness was run D at 4.3 YPC but there's an asterisk. Burfict is their best run defender and he missed the first 6 games of the year. He still finished 3rd on the team in tackles but Cincy gave up 4.9 YPC without him and 3.9 YPC with him in the lineup which would put them in the Top 10. Bengals also have the intangible edge to me. These guys have heard all year how their great season meant nothing unless they won a playoff game. At home as pups, with IMO the superior team and easily the best one they've had in the last 4 years I think it's a great chance to shut everyone up.
GL bro.

Great stuff, Andy. That Bengal game NAGGING me. Plus a buddy of mine who isn't really a gambler per say, but when he dabbles, he has the instincts of a champ......anyway he texted me what the bengals were to win the SB, and then asked he could use my account to roll them over (hopefully) four times to bring them in as SB winners. I think I'm gonna go 50/50 with him(literally 50 bucks each) and see what happens. If Pitt wins, I make money on the game, if bengals win, I'm alive next week at +175 at Denver.
That Houston line don't want to move!!! At one point, I thought it was gonna be KC -3 -150/Houston +130, and now it's -110 across the board. Regardless I'm taking Houston.....
Final card:
- Houston (probably +3)
- Pitt -2.5
- Seattle -5.5
- GB -1.
- Bengals ML(gonna roll them over and ride them as if it's a "bengals to win SB +1750 wager). Rollover should net a bunch more money unless the Skins represent the NFC in the SB.
Good luck everyone! Football finally here! I'm gonna pop some pills to pass the time, play some video games until noon. Then go to see Star Wars like a nerd. And watch game 1 at Buffalo Wild Wings in Eatontown NJ with my buddy if anyone cares to join us.

Back to back kicks in the nuts for me. Between Hill fumbling and the absolutely moronic (which is a huge understatement) PI penalties burning my Bengals ML, not to mention my multiple Bengals ML in-game bets at +400 thru +600 to Blair Walsh's meltdown burning my Vikings +200 ML ticket, its been a tough.
Appreciate this thread and the back and forth, definitely solid intel in here. LOoking forward to the divisional games.

I haven't dropped to my knees because of a play since last years Superbowl, but believe me that miss kick was one of the most beautiful sights I've seen in a long time. Not gonna lie, a small part of me wanted to see some Wilson magic down 2 with 25 seconds and no timeouts. I have trust he can convert in that situation about 40% of the time.
The weather was way more of a factor than I expected. The Vikings defense just played really damn good though. I fully expect Seattle to play their game of the year this week vs Carolina. After playing at the North pole, I think Seattle will be chomping at the bit when the see normal weather and put a beatdown on Carolina.
