Please everyone stop talking about the cold. It's ridiculous. Football players running at full speed arent as cold as you think they are. Remember running around outside as a kid with your t shirt on in the snow? Yes it's harder to catch a cold football. The 9ers are a running team. If you're handicapping this game based on temperature you are making a mistake. 5 degrees is not catastrophic weather. The packers should win this game because they are a better team, end of story. The weather is not the issue here.

I'm from new england. When you're outside playing football in the snow as a 14 year old with your friends, you're just fine. I'm sure the big boys from San Fran can handle the "cold". Again don't make your pick dependent on the temperature. It won't be a factor.

You might want to look at records of "warm" weather teams playing in 0 degrees. Jimmy G has 68 career starts, and has never started a game below 40 degrees.
Rodgers is 28-8 when the weather is colder than freezing (32)....
You ever play football when it is 0 out? Get hit as a runningback on the rock hard ground? Try to catch passes when you are not used to it?

Again I don't believe it will make that much of a difference. These fields are covered in tarps and heated. The players are wearing the most expensive high quality athletic gloves that money can buy. Will it make it harder for the 9ers? Sure it will. But these guys are playing for a superbowl. They will adapt and warm up. Bills put up 47 points in -6 degree wind chill weather last weekend. No doubt they are more used to it. But the way they were playing, you would think it was september.
@LETGOPACK1234
Rooting for your packers big time here. Have futures riding on them to make it to the big dance and win it. Just hate this opponent for them. Hopefully this is the year they get it done. Personally I would never lay the 5-6 points in this game. 3 at most. Thats my opinion. But ive been wrong before . GL to you and your packers!! Rodgers deserves it!

Just watch the game tomorrow night...............No DOME shit....Are beaches are still open, but you need a chain saw to cut the ice holes..............THIS is not Cali.......Even hand offs to running backs will be an issue here............EVERTHING is more difficult in weather below freezing........Bring your swimsuit and I will prove it.......

And GBs defense will again give up 28-35 pts because they can't stop anyone...
jimmy G 4-1 in playoff games and I'm unsure of what game you watched but SF was a play or 2 from a blowout last week.
And Jimmy G came back from 17-0 to win against the RAMS, so there goes that theory that he can't come back. If GB gets a lead, it'll be tough on SF, If SF gets a lead good luck.
Should of had 4 ints? I give you a pass because of LETSGOPACK handle and you see things through a green prism that aren't there, I get it. This is a gambling forum, not a fan forum.

Why would me being a GB fan be bias against SF? You claim SF was a play or 2 away from a blowout? Weird, because they were also a bad spike away from possibly losing. And yes, Dallas could have easily had 4 picks in that game....being a GB fan doesnt change that.

Easy to justify taking points w SF, given the roll they've been on.
However, this round of playoff games has a way a getting out of control quickly for the visiting team. 3rd consecutive road game vs team coming off bye week is a formula ripe for penalties and turnovers leading to early route for the home team.
Think there's a good chance the wheels come off the SF bus in this game.

The Oneida Indian casino in GB just opened a sports book, they have the line pumped up to GB -6.5 as they know all the homers are and will be pounding the Pack, probably get to -7 today.
That being said, I do think this should be a great game, weather: it will be a factor in the respect that it could lead to turnovers or loss of focus.
Rodgers has this team focused, plus this is their best defense since the 2010 team with new defensive coordinator Joe Barry, , now they are finally healthy after gaining the #1 seed and beating 4 playoff teams this season and losing a close one to KC with their back up QB playing.
GB = 8-0 at home this year, 70,000 cheese heads cheering them on tonight. I am leaving soon for the game, lucky I am in a club seat indoors. I sat next the Devondra Campbell's wife and kids for two games this year, learned alot about the Packers inner workings and his journey in the NFL. He has made all pro and is a difference maker on this team, they are on a mission. Campbell signed with GB for 2 reasons, Rodgers and Lafleur.
See you soon in Lambeau for the NFC Championship!

Here is solid analysis from Sportsnaut.com. They rank the overall defensive performance in a season, not just yards allowed. Here it is:
The Green Bay Packers will come out of their first-round bye with a ton of confidence defensively. For one, essentially having two weeks to prepare for an opponent that will be playing in frigid conditions at Lambeau Field is a huge advantage. Secondly, this unit played at an extremely high level in their final 12 games.
QBs vs Green Bay Packers (Week 6-17): 210.6 pass ypg, 78.9 QB rating, 16-13 TD-INT ratio, 60.4% completion rate
Keep in mind, all of this was done without Jaire Alexander or Za’Darius Smith. Alexander can line up against No. 1 receivers and shut them down, demonstrated by his 90.6 PFF coverage grade and 68.3 passer rating when targeted in 2020. With Za’Darius Smith (51 pressures in 2020) also returning, it’s even more dangerous. Of course, everyone will be watching to see how Green Bay’s run defense (5 ypr, 113.2 ypg allowed from Week 6-17) holds up.
This is what makes the matchup against San Francisco even more compelling. There is no better coach in the NFL at designing run plays and creating mismatches for the ballcarrier than Kyle Shanahan. As we’ve seen in recent years, that’s a weakness for the Packers. Don’t expect a repeat of that Week 3 game (49ers finished with 67 yards on 21 carries). But if Green Bay holds the 49ers under 125 rushing yards and makes Garoppolo throw 20-plus times, it heads to the NFC Championship Game.
