Don't forget Eli's pick 6 in their first meeting.  That's a big momentum swing that the Giants were able to overcome and stay in the game.

It will be interesting if the weather is bad, which it looks like it might be. Neither team has a great run game, which they will have to use. Both were actually under 100 yds per game which is piss poor. Both teams rely heavily on the pass. Question being which team will be able to run the ball more effectively? I think this game is going to be close, and +9 is a lot of points. Might have to unload on the G men

NY has a good quarter back GB has a great quarter back.

NY has 2 good receivers GB has 11.

NY has a good running back and their biggest advantage.

Not too sure about that. Inclement weather sometimes produces very high scores (ie. bad footing trying to tackle a running back making cuts). I just think it will be close, and I am not saying the Giants win outright, just thinking 9 pts is a lot.

Luckily for Green Bay, you don't tally up the yards after the end of regulation to declare a winner huh?  The only stat that matters is points allowed and Green Bay is in the top half.

Never said that yards allowed was used to declare winners. All I was doing was stating a fact. I think the Giants will be able to rack up some yards against this GB defense, that is pretty obvious. Whether they can finish drives with TD's is another story, I am not too sure.

all the same arguments  I used last week against the Falcons  and looked what happened ,True its the Packers but ,few teams have had sucess against them , teh Giants are one of the few .Packers also dont playy defense  ,mainley because they dont have to ,Well against eli ,now they do.Now its suppose tp snow tomorw 6 inches ,,eli plays well in those conditions .All that said  the Packers are the team to beat,   but if any team can pull the upset The Giants are the team  My feeling is the win or lose by 14

...yes a big trap. Last 2 big wins @ home vs Atl , Dallas and the Jets. This is what the media does that sucks these squares in, they hype up those last 2 games G-men played @ home and that game they beat GB when they went to the SB which is totally irrelevant. They also  forgot that this next game is on the road where they are giving up 30ppg last 4 away  and now face a team that can score 35+.

Ive seen this scenario one to many times (ex). back in 2009 when Dallas beat Philly twice @ home then went on to play Minny @ Minny. The media hyped up Dallas for 2 weeks 24-7 about how they ahnailated Philly and how they beat NewOrleans blah blah blah....the problem people neglected to see was that dallas had no offense scoring 11ppg when they went on the road. and now had to go up against Farve who was scoring 35+.  37-3 was the final on that one. Everyone and thier mother including these newbe squares on covers jumping into my thread telling me Dallas was going to crush Minny? and Dallas was the play @ Dallas +2 1/2. History repeats itself in the NFL

It's not a trap, line is where it should be.. Any game can go either way... Packers could win by 20, that would not shock me, but it wouldn't shock me either if ny got the game close.. 2009 was 3 years ago, lot of bye teams have lost but most of the time they win..

Still confident with Pack-9  even tho line dropped, it'll bounce around all week! Mathews -according to him, dedicating thisgame for Philbin, regardless, that offense just cant be shut down-toooooo many waepons!! packs Defense shows up big time----IMO, not to mention, lead the league in turnovers...GB at home averages i think around 38pts, while opposing teams average 19.....Lambeau Historic, and FANS keep Pack rolling,,and i ride them til the wheels fall off....just saying!

I think the over is the play on this game.... not trying to pick either team.... It could go either way IMO... I would love to see NYG win so when the saints beat SF, then NYG has to go to the superdome for the NFC championship

Chill with the red font Capernicus.  You don't have a clue.  Let's just discount the way that the Giants have been playing the last 3 weeks.  That will make a really smart bet.  If you've watched this team play recently, they are clicking on all cylinders.  They looked like garbage most of this year, but now they look tougher than ever.

There are a lot of reasons to like both sides of this game, but calling it a trap is so stupid it literally hurts to read.

The only two good QB's they faced at home: Brees/Staford, so I don't know how much you can really take from those home stats.

Everyone is an expert. How many of you had Denver beating the Steelers? Thats what I thought.

The giants are arguable the best well rounded team RIGHT NOW in the playoffs. Offense and defense. They shut out Atlanta, who put up 42 point in the first half the week before.. don't care who it was against. And can score with the top offenses in the league.

Sure the Giants struggled this year. Tuck was injured all year. OSI missed how many games? Did you know this was Cruz's first true year as a starter, it took sometime for everything to click. Luckily due to injury to our LB's we picked up Blackburn who has been directing and leading this defense.

Well Tuck is healthy, OSI (top pass rusher in the nfl) is back, and JPP is a future hall gamer in the making. Giants did not have this in the first game, well they have this beast of D-Line that forced Matt Ice to 3 step drops.. Rodgers has been sacked this year and if anyone can put pressure on him, it will be the giants d-line. 

The Packers have had there injuries too and are getting two OLmen back, which I don't think will have too much impact, because they are facing a dline that can get through anyone. Kansas City did beat GB, just follow there recipe and the Giants will have a chance.

Look at 2007 superbowl giants/patriots. That offense I'd say was better than this GB offense but at least as good. I think the Pats were favored by 15 in that game. They were heavily favored for the same reason GB is in this game. But look what the Giants pass rush was able to do to the pats prolific offense.

I see this game as a similar matchups with a only a few key differences on each side.

1. The giants offense particularly manning is much better than it was in 2007.

2. Aaron rogers is more mobile than brady an has a quicker release so may be able to handle the blitz better.

All in all i think in the big games the giants step up and I just don't see them getting blown out just based on the Packers great offense.

This is the hardest game to pick...not easy at all anyway you look at it...the game will be very close...so obvious that it is not even worth arguing any of the reasons why...Saints/49ers and every other game are much more easy bet on.
