They did not plit in 2006.  Giants swept them that year.  And if you are going to look at past trends (which I put little weight on), I think that this trend trumps any trend out there:

The reason why the Giants are so good on the road is that they have a very disciplined coach that can keep his players in check for big road games whether or not they are on national tv.

The Giants are an excellent road team, they have only lost 2 road game in the last 2 years, including playoffs and superbowl.

 l love the Skins in this one.  I'm going to wait to the last min and let the line go as high as possible before I lay down my bet.

The Giants are a better team and I dont' know if the Skins will win or not but I do know they have one hell of a D and will be able to keep this one close the entire game.  They also split with the Giants last year but owned them both games and should have easily won both but a crazy 4th quater comeback by the Gmen sealed there fate.  Giants did nothing aganist the skins in the 2nd half week one and the Redskins are a better team now.  Take it to the bank.

Ya, I was just throwing that trend out there for the "trend hookers" that love posting trends and playing off of trends.

However, the trend above does give you a little idea (weight) about how well they play on the road.  And the Giants only having 2 loses in the last 2 years on the road (including playoffs and superbowl) just adds to the idea.

Giants are by far the better team, but my MONEY is on the  Skins +3 (+165) this week.  Watch the Giants turn the ball over this week.

Denver +7.5 (+280), St. Louis +8, K.C. +3 (+140), Pitt +1, N.O. +3.5 and even the LIONS +11.  The Titans might have a sleepy let down after lasts weeks loss and have some inner rumblings with RB White and this is the Lions nationally televised Super Bowl.  The Lions +11 (+500) aren't going to cover a game at home?????  Yep, I know they stink, but his is their showcase event right here!  I like the Lions!

Ok, so not in 06...but both seem to take care of each other at HOME and homefield is important in a rivalry matchup..that includes Giants/Cowboys also. 

We all know what the Giants did on the road going back to LY, they are playing lights out. I understand your angle, you don't want to fade the Giants.....in matter of fact, I have won more games with them than I have lost going back to LY when Giants had to beat TB on the road to the SB. I am not touching this game as I am offering input, but I feel Skins could of wipe the floor with the Hawks jersey last week if they wanted to....I am sure the Skins have this game circle on their schedule. I think this is going to be a very close game and if the Giants was to lose another game this season, it would be against the Skins or Cowboys. Those are the only 2 teams that could beat them this season base on their schedule. BOL

Actually, the Giants have won the last two years going into Washington....However, I do appreciate your input.  Information is powerful and I look at everything...
