If i was a Skins fan i'd probably lean that way as well. Its my team so definately a no play here. Don't sleep on the Skins though ;) If Campbell shows up its on.

Ok, 11-3-0 on Golden Picks and (17-4-0 overall) after dropping one last night to Drew Brees playing in "GOD" mode. Wow, what a freakin game. That boy is unstoppable.
Anyways, this Giants / Redskins game jumped out at me right away. I have no clue why the spread is Giants -3.5.
I personally was able to watch Manning and the Giants from 10 yards away this weekend completely dominate the Cardinals by playing sound and mistake free football with a very, very good balance team. They are truly the best team in the NFL as of now.
We all saw what the Steelers did to the Redskins a few weeks ago, and I see this game going the same way. Redskins are not successful playing against physical teams and I personally saw how physical the Giants play. WOW! They are beastly!
Redskins can not get to the QB (only 17 sacks), which means Manning will have all day to pick this Defense apart. Giants O line is incredible and their number 1 rushing Offense will be able to dominate the Redskins all game.
The Giants D (who is only giving up 18 more rushing yards per game than the Steelers) will stack the box to stop the "banged up" Portis and Jason Campbell will be forced to beat them. And if Warner, Boldin and Fitz can't beat them, I don't see Campbell and company doing anything here. Especially, when the Giants are bringing their 32 sacks at them on every play. Campbell has been sacks 28 times compared to Manning's 13.
Gaint's are playing their best football right now and Tom Coughlin is so extreme that their is now way they come out flat against the Redskins.
Skins are struggling and beaten up right now to say the least, they barely pulled out a victory against the lowly Seahawks this past weekend.
The side to be on here is Giant's -3 (buy hook). Get this early as I see the line going up.

I loved this bet when I first looked at it as well. The Giants will want to beat the Redskins bad as it is a divisional game and that if they win this game could go a long way to knocking the Skins out of the playoffs. I feel stupid for asking but I need to ask this and anyone else out there can respond if they know the answer too. What do you mean by buy the hook?

BigShotBill - "buying the hook" means buying the 0.5pt. Most places have the Giants at -3.5, so he's saying you should pay the extra 10 cents on the dollar and buy the line down to -3, so you can avoid losing by a 0.5pt or "the hook."

FYI... I know this shouldn't matter much, but becareful about the Heart of a team. Just remember "21" Sean Taylor "RIP" is coming up on the 1 year anniversary. I believe Washington will be honoring "21" before the game. So the Skin maybe playing way over their heads. Emotion & Heart can be the difference. I probably won't touch this game.

Bigshotbill: Buy the hook means buy a key half a point to get it to minus three so a win by a field goal gives you a push, IE a refund of the amount bet. Tried like hell to do that with my Giants -3.5 bet over the Cardinals but my books were not having it.

I agree that the Giants look great this weekend. The great thing about the dominant teams this year is how tight their spreads always are. Nothing like when flashier teams like the Pats and Cowboys were on top last season laying two touchdowns left and right.

Bet you felt like part of a special club fading the public... me too, but that system was BS anyway. Betting on inferior teams based on the line is lame to me at this point. Why not make your picks first, then view the lines and if you see one that looks soft, attack? Why get demoralized and avoid betting something you know will probably hit? Which is the greater follower, the man who makes his own pick even if a lot of them end up being "public" or the one who just does what the lines tell him to regardless of his own thoughts on the game?
Get on board. This is not the pro public train, either, it's the one that thinks the league is not corrupt and some of these lines are in fact as far off as they look. Atlanta minus only three to Oakland, Cardinals minus only three to the Rams, Pats getting three in a revenge game with Miami, Giants minus only three to Cards who anyone with a brain knew they matched up well against... what the fuck were they thinking?!?

The posted line makes you scratch your head, looks like a gift. I thought the Zona line was telling me to take Zona, and I did and my book made out...I might buy the hook early here and enjoy the gift just like New England last week.

Well, fortunetely for me and my bank account, I do not put too much on if a line "looks to good to be true" or how much of the public is on a certain side. I'm too much of a good capper for that.

I like the Giants and think they are for real. And the same was said for the Giants against the Cards, cant see the Skins Defense being any better than Baltimores or the Cards at this juncture. Giants just dominate, keep the other teams offense off the field and Special teams seems to get back the ball for the Giants and put points on the board as well. I will admit Im a NYG Fan and hate betting on them, but I like them and will mostly bet them...... -3.5
