I'll probably be playing the Chargers for the next couple weeks - this is when they make an effort... Every. Friggin. Year.

Gil, here's what I think.  Avatars?  Don't get me wrong I'd much rather look at cartoon characters than...........(I don't know....a pile of dog shit).  I can see hot chicks in the ads to the right.  Even the Cover's Girl contest has a great pic.  I'll take Docs sports pic, even better the hot NBA Dancer on the Cover's article to the left.....anything but damn cartoons.  Cartoons are for when I get home and fight my kids for the remote.  Come on Covers WTF!

If Jax is going to win another game this year it will probably be in this spot, but no one should feel comfortable betting on this team right now. I loved them getting SIX at home last week against a depleted Lions secondary and Gabbert still couldn't move the ball. Their top two corners are banged up and that is bad news here. I think people saw Jax shut down a Jennings/Nelson-less Packer team and assumed they have a good defense. They don't. Their best linebacker is gone for the year, and they don't stop the run or the pass particularly well. One thing going for them is that Indy is also banged up and coming in on 3 days rest as an inflated road dog, but with Luck getting better every week and Jax being this shitty I'm not sure that it matters.

I'm liking the Jags +pts  -  but, I like the *UNDER* even more...


Little stat I uncovered  (although, a caveman could do it)




This year, divisional head-to-head primetime games have hit the UNDER 10 out of 13 times.  That's hitting @ 77%  -  the UNDER is 10-3 for teams within in the same division playing on Thursday Night, Sunday Night, or Monday Night Football.


^ this, and the fact that TNF is the UNDER that I play every week.  I have every week this season  -  it's 6-3 on the year, the OVER has hit 2 consecutive Thursday Night games.

I'd normally play the under too, but I see the Jags plan to run the no-huddle more, and while that isn't really a scary proposition with Gabbert at the helm, it does mean more throwing, which means less running, which means less time off the clock. To back an under, I need to feel good about teams being committed to the run. Just how I'm viewing it. I do think the game should go under, but I'm sitting that one out.
