Not a capper and will probably not post many more games this year, but I'm gonna go on the record with this one. I am just a fan that likes to bet on the side, but I like this one so much I wanted to be on the record somewhere with it.

I guess if I'm going to post a GOY, I should at least give some kind of analysis. Remember I'm not a capper, but I have learned a little bit by frequenting this forum and other like it.
First, look at the caliber of teams the Steelers have beat:
Redskins - Average team in my opinion with a winning record right now, but it was the first game of the season and our offense was just to good for them, and our defense was healthy at the time.
Bengals - Losing record and not playing up to their potential so far this year.
Jets - Nuff said.
Chiefs - Average team at best that could never keep up with a high powered offense.
Teams we have lost to:
Eagles - Above average team and we looked really bad against them.
Dolphins - Losing record average team at best, and they made the Steelers look bad.
Key defensive players are hurt or banged up.
Landry starting in place of Ben, he's really not very good. He's bad enough that Ben came back in after getting hurt to replace him with a torn miniscus. Make your own decision, but I believe the writing is on the wall for this game.
GL on however you bet on this game.

Not against NE they don't and especially with Ben out and the defense the way it is. The only trap is that Vegas want everyone to think this game will be closer than it will be. We got 0 sacks on a QB that had 17 going into the game. I only got to see the second half, but I don't even remember them getting any significant pressure on Tannehill. Give Brady time and he will pick us apart, on top of we have nobody that can cover Gronk. That's not conjecture, that's fact. I expect NE to put up 35-40 points easy. I usually don't bet against my team, but this one is just too easy.

Stay away from this game. If you do decide to play just make it a one unit play. Last time these two played At New England (9.10.15) it was only a 7 point difference and the spread opened at +7.5 Pitt . The last game at Heinz field (10.30.11) PITT won 25- 17. No Big Ben but still proceed with caution. Pats have covered last two games by a wide margin with the public winning HUGE.
With that being said Brady is on another level and who knows this game might be another 30 to 17 game like the last two.

You either are truly a Steelers fan and trying to jinx the Patriots in your own twisted way - or, you just an attention seeker and are getting it by what you said here. Because the reasoning you gave is a make believe one.
My conclusion - you're just a Seahawks fun playing the fans of the Patriots and the `steelers

Faulty reasoning?? We have the 30th ranked pass defense, Heyward on defense is out, sacks almost non existent, a backup qb starting, who is not all that good and you say my reasoning is faulty. If Ben was playing in this game, I still wouldn't like our chances, but I would still think it was possible to pull off a victory. Just because I'm a fan doesn't mean I can't be objective. 30th ranked pass defense against Brady, how do you honestly think that will turn out. No Ben to answer NE scores. Minnesota wins games because of their D, Pittsburgh wins when the offense is firing on all cylinders. That's not happening this week and unfortunately it's going to be against a healthy fully loaded NE offense. BTW, not looking for attention, just wanted to start a friendly discussion on the game and why I feel the way I do.

By just taking a quick look at your opening post where you appear to be jumping from joy, yet, painfully accepting the fact that your team is going to lose by more than a TD - and you're a fan of the Band of Men - well, I can see what got the King going and why he said what he said.
I might disagree with the tone - but, generally speaking - he has a point buddy. You may be the Steelers fan - but the Steelers fans I know - they ain't nothing like you. I agree - that is your right - but you've got to agree that being objective and being a fan of the team do not go together when you're trumpeting your team's loss as the Game Of the Year

First of all FAN, and second - why? Because his name is Wilson?

When the Rooney's send me a check, I'll be a blind Homer who thinks my team can win when hey can't. I buy the jersey's, I have parties during games, and yes I'm not happy that Big Ben is hurt for this game. I will take advantage of a line that I think is way off and help lessen the pain of this loss. If I thought the Steelers had a chance in this game I would never be against them. I'm happy about the line that Vegas is giving.

Alright. This conversation lifts itself to a Mozart level.
So... You consider yourself a proud American I assume. But, correct me if I am wrong -you don't really remember when the Rockefeller, Charles SChwaub, JP Morgan, Goldman Sacks or many other American "Icons" send you and your loved ones a fat check they are making from you being an American. Since that was a rhetoric quastion the answer to all is clear - they never did. As the Rooneys did not. So, if Russia declared a war on USA and they'd have some good shot at capturing Alaska for the beginners - You'd take that bet and trumpet it from the rooftops with a character?,
I don't think so. You'll be standing in all national anthems played at every state if it was broadcasted live and will be talking about the great sacrifice the troops carry and not for single moment - not a single moment it would occur to you that there may be a slight chance the Russkies will "liberate: Alaska. To bet on that? Are you crazy?
Why? Because you're a FAN of USA. You're American and will never do anything against your country. You may not like its policies. You may not always agree with them. You may complain here and there and even participate in a vilent protest here and there - but to bet against USA just to make money? No way. You're not Ford after all and the money ain't everything when it comes down to things you love.
But, you don't really love your Steelers. You're just a seasonal fan. If they play good - you walk all ovfer with their Jerseys. and if they don't - you just quickly transfer into a Penguins or a Pirates fan. You have plenty to side with.
And that is the point YOU MADE my friend.
Wow. What I just had - in Austria we call it celebral orgasm.....I need a cigarette...

I really wonder about two things: do those seasonal Steelers fans also have an ability to see the irony behind your clapping man character and another thing I wonder is - what would Prince Charles say if suddenly he would find out that some Sun's fans are betting on the Bulls and MJ against the Suns

I served my country, my father gave his life for this country......so don't ever think you can lecture me on being an American. I don't know how this moved from football to this, but don't ever question my patriotism. That's all I'm going to say about your little rant.

No one questioned your patriotism. It's between you and another you. Opposite - I said that being a real fan is being a patriot (sounds funny) of the Steelers.

You guys are missing the point. The argument is not whether person should or should not bet against his team (or, for an arguments sake even for his team). The Argument is whether the thread owner who posted #1 the way he did claiming to be a Steelers fan while celebrating their expected loss the way he did - is he really a Steelers fan. That was King's disposition.
And this is much bigger than that particular person. It is what we all became. Greedy person ready to sell anyone and anything for money, but at the same time maintaining virgin Mary's attitude pretending to have more values than the fellow men.
We all are guilty of what has happened to this world and we all bear the responsibility to correct what has been wronged.
And after the righteous speech - I will continue to do what I do, but with a feeling that I at least took a stand (which is a complete BS).
Oh, I'm so amused with myself.......

Yea, how else will I be able to buy the jersey's and go to the games.
Oh. I'm sure you would always find a way to have money at your disposal as long as you would have something or somebody you could sell. People without a back bone like yourself, always find a way. You're actually are a free man with the full meaning of the word. But, then, who am I to point that out? I am not any better or worse than you are. But the point is what I wrote in a post #26
Enjoy whatever you enjoy Wilson!

Are you seriously talking about me having a backbone ......aside from posting your pointless ramblings on a forum what have you actually done that has made a difference in this world, since we've decided to start attacking people you don't even know the first thing about. So I don't put my local sports things above all else in my life. I like them and I do follow them win or lose and ohh yeah, that happens once in awhile and I don't think they would be real upset with me if they found out I bet against them one time. It's a shame my first day posting anything on this site and I have to deal with a total moron who wants to attack my character. I don't know who you are, and I frankly don't care. If the best you can do in this world is attack people online who have done nothing too you then I think that tells me and anyone else reading this all we need to know about you. Try staying on the subject of sports next time and leaving the personal attacks on the playground where they belong.
