What are some of the greatest moments in the NFL that you have witnessed or have happened in your lifetime. I thought about asking "in NFL history", but it's more fun to reminisce about the things we remember or were really in awe of.
Was it Ronnie Lott choosing to amputate his finger tip rather than miss game time? Or Brady's comeback victory over the Falcons, over-coming a 25 point deficit to win in OT? Something else entirely?
For me, it wasn't the greatest moment, but definitely devasting: Steve Young's career ending concussion happened on my wedding day. I should have known then that it was all doomed from the start! lol

Walkoff wins are the best ones. Those moments on the biggest stage where everyone is watching and especially if it’s by the defense. I choose the Malcom Butler walk off interception on the 1-yard line in the superbowl vs the Seahawks. No other moment has ever made me jump so high out of my seat.
Nuthin but a g thang baby

I was nine years old and for some reason loved the Oakland Raiders at that time. They traveled to Pittsburgh in 1972 to face the Steelers in the divisional round of the playoffs. I remember being absolutely stunned when Franco Harris scored that touchdown.

The Steelers outplayed the Raiders for much of that game until the 30 yard QB scramble around the left-side by Kenny Stabler late in the game for a td. The clock showed only 1:13 at that point and the Raiders had a 7-6 lead. My in-laws were ready to jump until the miraculous Franco Harris reception. Though the Steelers lost the next week to the Miami Dolphins, that win at the end of the 1972 season seemed to create a sea change in the team and its following. All things seemed to be possible from then on. Terry Bradshaw wrote in one of his books that there was one name that struck fear in the heart of those great Steeler defenses and it was 'Kenny Stabler'.
Viva Cristo Rey !!!

What bet did you have? The Lions were favored by 9 points. Did you have Detroit on the moneyline?

Philly at AZ Cardinals 2009 NFC Championship Game, best sporting contest I've ever attended. Deafening crowd for 4 hours to watch Curt Warner get the Cardinals to their one and only SB.
------------------
Close 2nd:
December 24, 1977, Raiders def Baltimore Colts in 6 quarter playoff game in Baltimore.
Classic game, Stabler, Bert Jones, Roger Carr, Ted Hendricks, Dave Casper, John Madden coach. Originally from Baltimore, heartbreaker

Opening Day 1998. My best friend and I watch the Giants beat the Redskins at the old Meadowlands. After the game we knock back a few more beers in the parking lot and we start to head for home. We find the Jets at the 49ers game on the radio. It went back and forth and the game goes into overtime. The Jets punt down to the 4 yard line. And then this happened.
We we're screaming inside the car as the play was happening. (I get home and watch the game because I had two VCR's recording while we we're at the Giants game). Classic day for me and my best bud!

I was 16 years old at the time of that game and I still remember how vividly hurt I was as a bronco fan . We were playing a weak ass cover two and the safety gave up the bomb to Jacoby jones. That team we had that year I believe would’ve won a Super Bowl that year . Ray Lewis final year and playoff Flacco had other plans . Glad Peyton redeemed himself the final year with that defense so it made up lol

@NoFlyZone I felt that kinda pain for the entire AFC championship last year, Ravens should not have lost that game and don't let anyone tell you different. LOL &
Should read playoff - not championship.

Teams that only score 7 points through the first 57+ minutes of a football game don't win as a rule.

I was at that game, lower level about the 35 yl half way up the section on the Cards side. What a disaster that defense was to waste the quality of the QB and receivers.

Nor do teams that go 13 - 4 best in league with the 4 losses by 19 points and arguably the best D. in the league, then change their modus operandi (sp) in final game. Credit to the Chiefs they did what needed to be done, with a huge assist from Ravens "brains trust".

First thing come to my mind is Franco Harris just scooping the ball before it hits the ground on a deflected pass and running for a TD to win the game at the end of the game.
I was a big Raiders fan and didn't like the Steelers at the time.
Needless to say that really messed up my day.

Too many people had the Ravens ranked as a much better team than they really were.
