“This guy’s got a great clock in his
head. The big thing is that he throws the ball so early that we’re
going to have to do a good job of finding ways to get to him and when
we do get to him we’re going to have to make sure he gets a couple
‘remember me’ shots when we get there ...”
Then, when asked about his players worrying about incurring 15-yard penalties
for hitting Manning, he added this:
“Here’s the deal. When you put too much of that type of worry on a
warrior’s mind, he doesn’t play all out. If it happens, it happens. And
the only thing you’d like for me to say is that if it happens you hope
he doesn’t get back up and play again.”

When will these idiot coaches understand just to keep their fucking mouths shut and not give Peyton Manning any more motivation to whoop your ass. After he torched the #1 Defense for 377 yards, what do you think he will do to that crappy ass defense?
Thanks Gregg Williams.

He said what all defensive coordinators believe and think...the more a qb gets hit and punished the less likely he is to stand confidently in the pocket and make accurate passes. If you can do it within the rules then there is no problem...all his words have done is make the refs more aware and I am sure it is something that they will be watching very closely.
You have to get after qb's in the NFL. It is the only chance a defense has when playing against a good qb. The rules in the NFL definitely favor the offense, so how can a defense be successful against a good qb, by hitting the shit out of him every chance they get to disrupt his timing, take away a little of his confidence and make him throw the ball before he wants to

Hey, real simply....the Colts have never been talkers. But don't ya think every Indy defensive player knows of Williams' "hints" ??
This is the NFL, what goes around comes around. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Manning's been smart enough to hit the ground when he needs to. We'll have to see if Drew is??

Remember, Greg Williams is a disciple of Buddy Ryan. Hit the QB as hard and as often as you can was his credo. Maybe Greg should not talk about it so much. I like Peyton and would not like to see him hurt by dirty play. A legal hit to help the Saints win, fine with me. That's why these QBs get the big money. If they don't want to get hit, get rid of the ball quicker. No doubt Peyton will. But, Go Saints, for me.

But they went outside the rules on numerous occasions. They were willing to do that even if it meant a 15 yarder here and there. It is their only chance against Manning, so they will try again.
Problem is, if a team is willing to do it outside the rules, then every starting QB could get knocked out and we'd be watching semi-pro football. The NFL has to protect the QB to protect their product. It is really that important. It's not about being wimpy. It's about protecting the presentation of the game. It's about $!
How would you feel if Manning did get knocked out early and the SB became a boring, tainted win by the Saints? Or if Brees also got knocked out and we had to watch a SB of Curtis Painter vs. old Mark Brunnell. See my point?
You're just a PARROTT....you don't have a point.
RUN THE FOOTBALL if you want to protect your QB.

ESPN.com reports New Orleans Saints DL Bobby McCray was fined $20,000 Friday, Jan. 29, for two unnecessary roughness incidents in the NFC Championship Game.
McCray was the same guy who laid the big hit on Warner.

If you line up and throw the football (imitating the Madden players) over 65% of the time, you have yourself to blame if your 'star QB' gets injured.
I'd love to see the Saints knock Manning out of the game. F*** the NFL and its flag foosball vaginal fluid league.
Why?? If you're a real SAINTS fan you want to beat them with Manning on the field! Having him injured would only question the validity of a Saint victory....
How do I get prop bets for MADDEN??

Shocking that a D coach would discuss going after the QB. This is hardly Rex Ryan material boys and I doubt anyone but you guys are paying any attention to this. The Saints have never been known as a mouthy or cheap team. If anything they have been unfairly called a finesse team.
