First picks of the year for me... I like to see some cream rising before I lay my first bets.

LEAN PLAYS
PITTSBURGH (+1) at NY JETS - 1u
Tomlin will have the boys ready to roll vs the surprising Jets coming off a bye, and it was a short week for Geno & co.
JACKSONVILLE at DENVER (-27) - 1u
I hate laying this many points in the NFL... but when (imo) best meets worst, this game could have a college type score.
PHILADELPHIA at TAMPA BAY (Over 45) - 1u
I like the combo of Philly's good offense (even with Foles, that's right) playing a pretty good Buc's D and the Buc's bad O going against a very bad Philly D. Points will be scored.
INDIANAPOLIS (-1) at SAN DIEGO - 1u
Indy is red hot and ready to shine in primetime. This one might get ugly.
STRONG PLAYS
NEW ORLEANS (+2.5) at NEW ENGLAND - 2u
The saints are really as good as their record. That defense is MUCH better than they get credit for. I don't think New England can hang with the top teams in the league this year - Gronk or no Gronk.
WASHINGTON at DALLAS (-5.5) - 2u
Love this spot for big D. I think the offense got some swag back after going toe to toe with Denver. Up next... Washington and quite possible the worst defense in the league. Dez Bryant is going to abuse the hell out of DeAngelo Hall if Romo is half as good as was a week ago. Boys by 10+
HAMMER PLAY
CAROLINA at MINNESOTA (Under 44) - 5u
Panthers excellent front seven vs. a one man offense and sack-prone Cam Newton vs. underrated d-line. This game features the two of the most run heavy offenses in the NFL... clock will be chewed. Love this line. I see a 20-14 type score going either way.
