It's only fixed bettingforfun when the team they bet on loses and there were a couple bad plays in the game, which meant the player did it on purpose OR a bad call, which meant the ref did it on purpose.
Histrionic personality disorder. It's sad

Where are you pulling 70% of the games finishing within one score? Of the 170 plus games played this year so far. 95 have finished with two scores or more
I agree that 14+ points is too many though
Where? The sportsbook director that was on Sirius radio on VSIN THIS MORNING

I believe some games are fixed There's been corruption in sports since the wiseguys tried fixing the fights and you remember tim McClelland The nba referee that got busted You know what would happen to someone if they did come out with information about it First of all the league would disavow it Then he'd probably get sued because they probably have a non-disclosure agreement written in their contractsThen him and his family would probably be dead Enough to keep anyone from saying anything besides who are they really hurting Just degenerate gamblers Somebody said betting's only 10% of a casino's profit but that's still 10% to be made!

Take for example this Pitt/Packers game, why don't they just set the line at 20 or 23, whatever they think Pitt will win by, and let the players on the field decide the outcome and final score, and let the betting public choose a side?
This was written by a clown that should never bet on another sporting event. I'm not sure I have ever seen a dumber question. Absolutely clueless as to how lines are set. For this reason alone sportsbooks will never go out of business.
Now explain to us how playing parlays is smart because you can make more money.

Please tell us how it works but please tell us your job title as well. I can't wait to hear this.
I have already posted that info but I will give it to you again.
I worked in the sports book at Harrahs from 1988-1999. Three years as a ticket writer and about 8 years as a supervisor. Yes it sucked dealing with dip$hits like you. Whining little pu$$ies that lost their allowance on favs and overs.

Bettingforfun: first you can go f@ck yourself. lets get that out there to start. Not sure who you think you are but let's be real here: you sobud just as dumb as the people who you are calling out. Second, because you worked at a casino, you know "how things work" huh? You are on the "in" huh? You got power and you got all the information because you were a supervisor? In this society with the way our government and economy work, you believe sports are 100% pure because you wrote tickets? Really? Here's the irony in all of this: You have no evidence supporting either side of f@xed games buddy so until you show me some that supports the word ALL or NEVER, do what you are asking everyone else to do, stfu. Your argument is no more correct than someone who believes at some point in the history of "sport" that a few games have been altered by refs, players or coaches. I'm not here to persuade you or judge you; you haven't a clue what I make from "sports" so keep betting for fun. Lastly, why does it bother you so much to hear people say sports entertainment isn't pure? Does it bother you to the core? That's the thing that always gets me with you purists. You get so worked up and defensive in this type argument. It's comical. A ticket writer.....well sh@t, if you were a ticket writer you must be right! Too funny

I never said that a random game has never been fixed. I am saying that the NFL does not have fixed games week in and week out like you clowns claim. It's impossible. If you ever worked in a book you would understand how impossible this would be.

Look up Stevin "Hedake" Smith. He was a Gaurd for Arizona State back in the 90's. He fixed half a dozen games and got caught. He got caught because "VEGAS" tipped off the FBI. Fixing games is BAD FOR THEIR BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!
Large amounts of money bet on random games sends up a RED FLAG all over Nevada books. They commicate with each other at all times to prevent this.

A few of the older bettors might remember this. Back in the late 70's the mob got control of the time keepers in the NBA.
Every time the ball went out of play they would let an extra second off the clock. Over a course of a game that could add up to over a minute at least. Thereby affecting the total. Wise guys were cashing big on unders. Then it was revealed and people continued betting like nothing happened.
It is human nature.
The whole argument about what makes more money in the casino is irrelevant. Betterjohn can you tell me the slots aren't rigged for the house to win? What makes sports betting any different. Way too much money for the powers at be to chance.

Wherever the sports betting industry can make a penny, there is corruption.

Lmfao. Yeah slots vs. Sports gambling. Good one. We know slots are "fixed" so the house wins over time. That is what juice is for in SB. Kinda hard to get all the books in the world to agree on lines to be in on the fix, and then actually do the fixing too! I give up.

Let's take these one by one. First off cite the reference to this scandal so we can actually look at what you refer to, not hearsay.
2. Back in the 70's books didn't have the technology they have today to monitor like they do now.
3. All gambling in a casino has a built in house advantage. That's how they stay in business. People still gamble knowing this. They only game where you can take away the house advantage is card counting in blackjack. Few people can do it but it can be done.
