How much do you tip?

Hey, 

Now that wagering is legal in more towns than just Vegas, how much do you tip when getting paid at the window?

How much of a tip do they give you when your handing over 5,500 for a 5000 dollar bet.

 Ikr! 10% juice is the norm for them to accept a bet. My buddies play pull tabs and we usually tip 10% as a courtesy, although we never win that much.

Why would you tip at a sports betting window? I don't. 

Been playing at Diamond Jos, they turned the poker room into a sportsbook due to covid. Placed $2k bet on the ML and won $1k while tipping $20. At the time it seemed ok, but after doing the math I felt like a cheapskate. 

You tipped way more than enough ...Especially on a -200,wager

When I am in Vegas I tip the ticket window but literally just a buck or three.  What I have found is I get a ton more drink tickets when just giving up a few bucks.  I mean the peeps working these windows aren't making much in the first place, so it's a win win for all.

 Drink tickets...good call! I forgot about that. Playing blackjack in Vegas offered free drinks yes indeed. I'll def inquire about them thanks. 

I live in Vegas and I only tip the ticket writers who I have befriended, otherwise, like others have said, do they give you anything when you lose, hell no, which is more often than not. 

I tip according to breast size. And if displayed well a little more

Absolutely nothing, zero, nada, zilch. I'm a dime player and like it's mentioned above - Win a dime and give them 10% or $100 - Phuck off.

When I lose a dime I gotta fight for drink card - just kidding as they do give those away - but $hit - I play dimes - I should get a freakin Heineken.

Tip ?? Never heard of tipping on a sports bet collection, I suppose you can but why ?

I once played an 6 team and  8 team parlay at a book in Vegas during NFL playoffs, when the ticket rider seen the payout amount he said in a very authoritarian voice, if you win I want some of that, I quess he thought I'd tip him. I said, oh yea you'll be the first one I think of when I win. 

I did hit the 6 team but went 6-2 but not the 8 team. Tried looking for him to collect but he wasn't in then, was hoping he could watch me collect and walk off with the cash.

Why would you tip? You’re already paying 10% to place a bet.. youre already at a disadvantage if you tip 10% on top of that you’ll never win over time sports betting

Tipping the ticket writer is as customary as tipping your gym receptionist, doctor, grocery bag boy, or local politician. IMAGINE being so cheap you don't tip all of them at least 25%

Never have, never will. I also never tip the hand pay attendants. I’m perfectly capable of walking to the window myself. Besides, why should I tip someone to bring me a tax form?  Despite a hand pay, I’m always still down a lot anyway.
