Well, they say everyone has to hit rock bottom before they quit doing something that probably isn't very good for them. And today kids I have hit that place. I just don't think I can keep doing this and I like to think I am not terrible at it. I have had several winning seasons and have won a lot of money here and there. 

I had the Chiefs and I had the Bengals +1 parlayed. I am one of those guys that when I lose I lose with grace. I like to think so anyways. But this game has seriously made me lose my appetite for food and especially for betting just about any sport at all. This season has just been terrible all around from a playing, officiating, and just overall everything manner. It's hard to believe these guys are even professionals anymore.

What's even harder to believe is the series of events that took place tonight that led to the Bengals losing this game. It's just absolutely crazy. They say the house always wins and there are no sure things in betting. Not even when I team is up by 1 point and they pretty much have the other team dead to rights. They had the ball in enemy territory and even had it in FG range. How do you lose that game? How do you not ensure that you don't fumble the football? How do you then knock a player out on the field? And then just when you think it's a circus they start pushing coaches and refs? What the hell is going on man?

What is becoming of professional sports? There are nothing but a bunch of thugs and disgraceful people playing them anymore. And they don't even get real punishments even. This is what we reward in our society? 

Anyway, got off on a little bit of a rant there. But I really think after this one I am done. My energies are better placed elsewhere. Good luck to all of you and I hope you all have a very happy new year.

It's an entertainment show - just like your movies, dramas, musicals etc.

You've just watched another episode of NFL's TV program.

I had Bengals ML 3k.. also had the under for 3k..

Bunch of losers these Bengals.. how can you fumble the ball when your in FG range and making opponent waste time outs.  So sad.. 2 hands on football? Fighting for more yards?. better off taking 3 knees and kick a FG.. 
Make your opponent score a TD with over a min and no timeouts..  very shamefull

I hear you man. Between Condit getting shafted on the decision last week, and the worst moose I've ever experienced in tennis last night, a quick -8K to start the year.

Fukcing hurts, but we're bound to bring it back around in the future.

Avoid the parlays, man. You had two good bets here and if they'd just been individual plays the KC win woulda had you at break-even (or close enough). You don't want bad endings like this to ruin the good work of earlier plays.. best to just stick to single bets.

Otherwise, I don't think today is an indication that you don't know what you're doing. Dumb garbage like this happens. But if you're on tilt, take a break, regroup, and revisit what you wanna do when you're not so 'close' to this outcome.

Oh, FFS. Another one. You ever heard of a site called Pinnacle? The Greek? Bookmaker? Steelers was -1.5 for several hours today. Anyone who actually watches lines had no trouble getting +1 or +1.5 for Cincy if they wanted it.

I hear ya. I have two sites, not 5dimes. Both were 2.5. One even, one -110. Tough loss. Happens to us all.

The fact there are so many idiots in this thread who completely missed the entire afternoon that the line was Pitt -1.5 everywhere is exactly what is wrong with Covers.

No wonder we get so many stupid threads on conspiracy theories and rigged games - you idiots can't even follow a moving ticker tape on a board.

But, you are acting like this was a heartbreaking loss  in which you led the whole game...for example maybe having Oregon in the bowl game..

Seriously man. Do people not realize that odds change and actually vary from site to site? If you're one of those guys that spreads your money out across 15 sites to bet on then good for you. I am not one of those people. (Meaning these people giving me garbage for the line not you BetFriends)

Also about Parlays. I hear you. I normally do bet straight games. My problem is betting too many games at a time. I always seem to come out even. So if I ever do come back I am going to make sure I at least have a 2k bankroll and just bet to win for one unit at a time. I don't want to win big on this. I just want to make some spending money. 500 a week would be golden. Nuff said.
