One is, for betting as long as you claim and having done well at times, you should by now understand the importance of getting the best available line.
To get only +1 you would have to go out of your way to try and get a line that low... almost purposely, that in itself is a very valuable lesson.
I made the bet at 5dimes myself and never saw a +1 line all week having been on the site several times everyday.
I made the bet end of the week and bought 2.5 up to 3, mostly because of Dalton's injury I wanted a little insurance.
The other very valuable lesson is...how many times have you won by a fluke game ?
Wins you should not have, you can't just act like those wins you earned but this one you got screwed on.
Those type wins even out over time.
I see all your points sir. You are probably the most level headed person that has replied. To be honest I can't think of many times that I have won by a fluke. But I think we like to forget ugly wins to be honest and I am sure I am not the only one. I can think of several spots this year though that I lost on flukes. I would list them out but its not going to change anything. I literally only made this post as a joke but everyone is being so serious about it haha.
I did learn a valuable lesson though indeed. Which I always need to go with my gut . I told a friend of mine before I took the bet that the game seemed like a toss up. And it really was. The fact of the matter is Cincy had that game won and I still feel I made the right decision. It just fell of the rails at the last second and it's unfortunately just a tough loss. What are ya gonna do?
If I do come back this is what I will change.
1. Have a bigger bankroll coming in. This season I kind of loaded as I went. A loss feels much more harsh when there is a 0 in your account.
2. Bet less games. This season I really broke even or maybe lost a little simply because I thought I saw too many good spots to play.
3. No more in game bets. That is another killer that I am usually really good at capitalizing on. This year wasn't my year for it and I am going back to basics.
So there you have it. Advice that nobody asked for. :-)
