This OVER 17 is gonna be awfully tight, I figured at worst I'd get a FG or TD out of Tennessee.  But now it's to the point where they'll go for it on any 4th down as well...unless their gonna go for the not wanting to get shutout route.

No disrespect Vanzack, I always enjoy reading your posts, if Brady were in, I would have been surprised if they would have thrown there, but with the backup in and a swing pass (glorified long handoff), it wasn't that surprising at all.  Up 44-7 the Giants threw four different times with their backup David Carr last week against the Raiders in the fourth quarter.

Maybe Im off base here - but I just dont think many would have done this once - much less twice in the 4th qtr in this type of game.

But I have been wrong before.

Lets see what the talking heads have to say about it afterwards....  Fisher might not be so happy.

Yeah, I can see going for it, but in a day of age where we protect the qb's and sportsmanship is important. A straight run play would not have hurt, the game is over, we know Tenn can't cover you against the pass, so what is the point? I don't mind the decision to go for it, I just think the play call was ridiculous. And to answer a statement before, I guess in baseball guys should should steal when up by 15, and i hoops keep shooting 3's when you're up by 40 and 4 minutes left. The game is over Tenn has given up you don't gain anything by kicking an opponent while they're down

Fisher deserves to get the boot.  I said it from the opening game for them.  Young is obviously not the answer...and Collins is finally showing his age.  The strong arm he's always been known for is just not there...and on top of it they have no weapons to throw to.

I smell a complete overhaul coming...cause the 3 most important positions are going nowhere. (QB, Back-up QB & Coach)

Whenever a team is up big no matter what they do its wrong unless they would just kneel on the ball for the rest of the game. It is the defenses job to stop the offense. I see the point of respect for the other team. But really what is a team suppose to do when they are up big? Some people want to see Brady tear up his knee again. Why because he had a good game? I think you play the game for 60 minutes like it is suppose to be.

Vanzack, I changed my mind, this is an interesting topic for discussion given the current state of the NFL.  With so many sucky teams and a few elite teams, what would be considered proper sportsmanship in blowout "PROFESSIONAL" football games.  I can understand the need for it in college where so many strong bigger school schedule (and pay for the right to play) tiny schools that are totally overmatched.  Add to that fact that these are 18-22 year olds who mainly will be professionals in other areas of life, not football.  In the NFL I would be shocked if any coach complained that someone "ran up the score" on them.  That would be an insult to their own players and possible an admission of guilt that their own players had quit on them.  By my count, there have been atleast six games where teams ahead by more than 21 points in the fourth quarter have still thrown the ball and I haven't heard any outcry about that, in fact, I would be shocked if anyone even mentions it, I know that Fisher probably wants to just forget this day ever happened.

So you think that TENN will fire Fisher, the longest tenured coach in the NFL right now, after a year of going 13-3 and the #1 seed in the AFC last year? If anything, Fisher will be the last thing to go.
