still better than before when all you needed was a fg to win in OT at least now you need a TD.
Does not matter what team and what situation, if you can't stop a team from scoring a TD for a given drive you don't deserve to win. Keep in mind that if the team got the ball first convert only a FG, you can use all 4 downs to tie or to win the game the next time you get the ball.
Everyone is overlooked the fact that the defense is extremely bad for both teams. It is an exciting game because of the lead changes and how both teams could cover the spread but it is not a great game overall.

Dude the Bills are the best defense in NFL and Chiefs were #5. Neither looked bad last week. It's 2 great QBs. That is undoubtedly the 2 best QBs in the NFL now that Brady isn't young anymore. 2 best QBs in the game got you chasing all game long by the 4th quarter you are tanked. You try to keep up with Kelce and Hill and all the others for 3 hours and see how well you do after 3 hours.
That Bills D gave up the fewest points of any team in NFL. Chiefs 5th fewest.
Allen and Mahomes this is a rivalry just getting started. The future of the NFL. After Brady retires undoubtedly #1 and #2

Everyone is complaining about the rules even tho it doesnt matter cuz Buffalo was never winning... But no one ever complains about how they never show the coin toss, there is zero proof the Chiefs even won the coin toss cuz they dont show the coin, all you see and hear is the refs say the Chiefs won the toss...

Regardless of whether the winner of the coin toss scores a TD, FG or punts, the team that lost the coin toss must get a chance to tie the game. Playoff rules should differ from regular season rules. In the playoffs each team just get a possession.
if team A scores a TD and team B follow it up with a TD- next score wins. Period.

Alot of heavy hitters in the sports world behind a change. Here's a great analogy. Extra innings baseball, visiting team scores in the top of the 10th, game over. Home team never gets to hit in the bottom of the 10th. Same thing in football currently. Your pitcher and 8 guys playing defense couldn't stop them from scoring in the top of the 10th, you LOSE. Unfair.

Agree Ot rule needs to be changed. For those worried the game would go on forever, it won't. Eventually a mistake will be made and you can even force them to go for 2. Game will not go on forever, just don't apply the college rules where you get great field position. Now the question is, why was this thoroughly dismissed when Chiefs and Ravens pushed for it 3 years ago? I am guessing it is because the owners are greedy and old-fashioned. They argued that for the players sake it makes them play more and could cause injuries, and yet what happened this year, we added another game. The difference is they get all that money from an extra game and get nothing for overtime.
Remember these are the same owners, such as Mara from my lowly Giants, who made enforcing taunting their biggest priority of the offseason. They hate change and they hate if their wallets aren't getting fatter with any change that is made in the league. Guessing 90% of fans and even players want the OT rules changed.

Don´t they have one possesion each to score? You mean after the TD, the other team has a shot.
I believe it was voted down because it would change things. The No. 1 impact, would be of higher percentage in injury and much needed rest time for players. The NFL, wants to reduce injury to key players to atleast finish to get to the big dance ( superbowl). Longevity of players, is what the new NFL focuses on. Stats ( team and Individual ) would definitely change as well.
Not to mention, movement of wager adjustments in all books with plays. Its no big deal, but we would definitely have more wagers on the OVER than under.

Yes, one extra regular game, but didn´t they eliminate some in pre-season games? Im not sure.

In the words of the late great George Carlin
I enjoy comparing baseball and football:
Baseball is a nineteenth-century pastoral game.
Football is a twentieth-century technological struggle.
Baseball is played on a diamond, in a park. The baseball park!
Football is played on a gridiron, in a stadium, sometimes called Soldier Field or War Memorial Stadium.
Baseball begins in the spring, the season of new life.
Football begins in the fall, when everything's dying.
In football you wear a helmet.
In baseball you wear a cap.
Football is concerned with downs - what down is it?
Baseball is concerned with ups - who's up?
In football you receive a penalty.
In baseball you make an error.
In football the specialist comes in to kick.
In baseball the specialist comes in to relieve somebody.
Football has hitting, clipping, spearing, piling on, personal fouls, late hitting and unnecessary roughness.
Baseball has the sacrifice.
Football is played in any kind of weather: rain, snow, sleet, hail, fog...
In baseball, if it rains, we don't go out to play.
Baseball has the seventh inning stretch.
Football has the two minute warning.
Baseball has no time limit: we don't know when it's gonna end - might have extra innings.
Football is rigidly timed, and it will end even if we've got to go to sudden death.
In baseball, during the game, in the stands, there's kind of a picnic feeling; emotions may run high or low, but there's not too much unpleasantness.
In football, during the game in the stands, you can be sure that at least twenty-seven times you're capable of taking the life of a fellow human being.
And finally, the objectives of the two games are completely different:
In football the object is for the quarterback, also known as the field general, to be on target with his aerial assault, riddling the defense by hitting his receivers with deadly accuracy in spite of the blitz, even if he has to use shotgun. With short bullet passes and long bombs, he marches his troops into enemy territory, balancing this aerial assault with a sustained ground attack that punches holes in the forward wall of the enemy's defensive line.
In baseball the object is to go home! And to be safe! - I hope I'll be safe at home!

Generally I agree and am disappointed as well. I wanted Buffalo to win. Yep didn’t seem fair.
But if KC kicked a field goal, Bills would’ve gotten the ball to see if they got a TD?
So why didn’t Buffalo put six guys at the goal line to defend a touchdown?
Seems like Buffalo coaching fell a little short on this one too IMO.

How about both teams can have at least one possession each, but no 4th down play is allow for these drives. After that, normal game and team that score win.

@BookBeater
OT should be 10 mins. I know they don't want to do that but I believe it necessary.
Hell with dropping 9 in coverage. Tackle or hold every receiver when they cross the line of scrimmage.
5 yard penalty. 2 or 3 of them and it's over. Offense gets to kneel down with 2 mins in the game, defense should do this whenever in this position.
The game can't end on a defensive penalty so all their getting is a Hail Mary from their 30 or 35 yard line.
