I'm a SD homer and I'm . We have the better QB/RB/WR coming off bye week, Jets on short week, all looks good

BUT we also have Norv Turner....

Jets are really undervalued here, Miami isn't half as bad as everyone thinks just remember that. They lost their qb going into a bye week. then when they need every day to get someone else up to speed the NFL says take 4 days off or whatever. Jets have lost to some pretty tough teams. SD is extremely overvalued mostly because their record says so. Anything can happen but I believe the jets Defense keep them in this game and think they win.

This is the type of game that San Diego loses consistently through the years. The Chargers simply can't beat a Eastern Power on the East Coast. Tell me the last time the Chargers beat a Eastern Power on the East Coast? Exactly. Jets win this game and it wont be close. No I'm not a Jet fan.

Fair enough IF this was last years version of the jets.

They are hardly a power so far and no indications they are going to be one any time soon. At best they are 8-8 this season.

I wouldnt quite call the Jets an eastern power and SD did crush Indy in Indy in Nov of last year,iN 2009 BEAT NYG,Wash  in NY.SD really has played much easst coast teams away in the last few years.Like last year they didnt play anyone eastern power away.They have actually done better than you think in away games from the midwest to the east coast the last few years!!

I went back & checked past 5 years, the Chargers are 6-8 SU on the road playing on the east coast in the regular season.

Chargers are 1-3 SU vs afc east teams on the road past 5 years.


MJ, if the Chargers become a dog by Sunday, the road fav trend wont come into play, so will that change your play on them?

PTB as i explained in another thread i believe the trend is taken at the spread at gametime for the trend and if you are just following the trend and SD is not favored it is a NO PLAY.In this particular spot i am still gonna take them.Actually 6-8 on the road vs east coast teams aint bad but again what does everyone consider east coast??

Finalized my thoughts after much consideration. I definitely like the SD pick. The double-whammy combo of 2 weeks to prepare and rest vs Jet's short week clinches the deal. I think the SD running game matches up well for them against the Jets run defense. I expect a good game from Rivers too.
Oh, Jets are 1-3 ATS on the short week....
Should be a fun game to watch, hard-fought by both sides.
