All that matters to me regarding my mom is that everyday is celebrated as the best day of her life  ....Thankfully we all appreciate every second with her and have taken care of other loved ones with Dementia / Alzheimer's ...HATE this disease , especially that her's started so young..

 Double, so sorry to hear about your Mother.  I worked in a nursing home as a teen and in the summers between college.  We had some men and women there that had dementia and alzheimer's that were in their late 40's and early 50's.  Absolutely heart breaking.

Thank you for working in a nursing home , it takes a special person to do so ...I only lasted a 3 months at a catholic nursing home when I was 18 ...Used to break my heart watching people never get one visitor when their entire family was local ...

Can't imagine seeing people with early onset dementia in their 40's and 50's ....My mom's got bad in her mid 60's...The brain is crazy , she can't remember one question seconds after being asked , but can still speak 8 foreign languages fluently ( she retired as the foreign language director for the Buffalo Public schools) ..
