I think he'd still be the all time best.

He will end up being the number 1 quarterback of all time.  It is simply a matter of time since he has already won one.  Anymore Superbowl wins are just icing on the cake.

he is and always will be number 1.. in this day with all the different defenses thrown at him he still manages the game better than anyone else

I think when its all said and done the guy will be the best.  The game is alot faster now and the guy still catches defenses off guard more than any qb in the league.

Judging a player’s career before it is over is like judging a team before the end of the season. Almost everyone thought the 2007 Patriots were the best team in NFL history before the season was done.  How’d that end up working out for them.

Joe Montana and Dan Marino were better, IMO.

Peyton's the best QB of all time, win or lose.  You cannot stop him.  He always finds a way to beat you.

Yet he has only won one superbowl to date ??

9-8 playoff record. Losing record before he played the 2 worst teams in the playoffs. Clearly IS stoppable. I'm sorry but I can't put so much weight into regular season numbers. He is top 10 but I wouldn't put him near the top 5 until he wins his 3rd ring. Has to get number 2 first though.

Montana, Brady, Favre, Unitas, Elway.

Now if he wins tonight and wins another then there is no denying he is the greatest. Until then, he is out of my top 5.

you can't compare this generations qbs with pasts. really. it is equivelent to the steriod era in baseball the way the rules have changed to benifit the qb's and offenses. Joe Montana, John Elway, had to play outside and against defenses who could touch receivers and rip their heads off.

Win or lose he is the best ever hands down.

and the way tom brady cries about defenders make me think he is the supermodel in the family! he is such a bitch now that  pats dynasty is over.

That's a pretty good top 5, although Favre and Manning don't belong yet.  Bradshaw, Aikman, Starr and even Roethlisberger have won more SB's.  Otto Graham won 7 NFL championships (yes, the Browns were a good team three generations ago).  Peyton needs two more SB wins to solidify his status in the top 5.  Marino put up great numbers but was never a winner.  That hurts his legacy. 

Yea they get 2 hot teams that just knocked off Tom Brady and the Patriots and Phillip Rivers and the Chargers.  How come so many analysts were picking the Jets to win if they're so bad?  It always seems that way the teams are going to beat the Colts and when they don't they're overrated.

What about his playoff stats?  He has better career playoff numbers then Brady, Elway and Favre.

Also if you don't base much on regular season stats how does Favre end up ahead of him?
