To keep it simple, I always think that betting on the better team in the nfl is important. And that's what I think the Chargers are compared to the Pats.
But yet I held back all week and was going to pass all together for a few reasons.
Pats had a bye. This is a huge advantage.
Belichek, Brady, cold weather, lots of recent travel for LA.
Then I heard of the passing of Brandon Mebane's infant daughter. She has been battling for months and finally gave up.
Mebane didn't play vs the Ravens. He's suiting up today.
The emotional level of his teammates in a rallying effort can not be measured. I think they take it up another level for him. The brain is a powerful thing. Filled with the right idea or emotion can do wonders.
It's not like I'm backing a bad team here. These dudes have balled all year and have a veteran qb who is ultra competitive.
If at any point in the game the Chargers mess up, or refs miss calls etc...I won't complain for one second. If my bets lose so be it. A man lost his daughter, I'm betting on that tragedy giving him and his teammates an extra edge. The loss of one's daughter is REAL LIFE. My 2 units ain't sh*t.
