The underdog has an excellent record in this series? First comment that makes sense if you look at recent history.  Underdog is 6-3-1 in the past 10.  However, Pitt is 12-5 all time at home against the Ravens including 2-0 in the postseason(27-10)(23-14) both obviously covering the spreads. 

As far as missing Jeff Reed, he didn't cut it this year only going 4/9 44% at Heinz field.  The Steelers needed a change and Suisham has provided a spark 6-7 at Heinz and 14/15 overall.  Pittsburgh should be very happy about this change.  He is the last player they need to worry about..

Having played 12 like opponents, both sported a 9-3 record(not counting each other) 

Baltimore avg. 22ppg and gave up 16.5

Pitt avg. 24.5ppg and gave up 15.9

Not much different when you look at both squads, they only played two different opponents all year.  Pitt lost to Balt, NE, NO, and NYJ all teams still in the playoffs.  Balt lost to Pitt, NE, ATL, and Cincy.  All teams are still in it but Cincy, so it is hard to find major differences. 

Pitt has better offensive and defensive stats, but not by a whole lot.  What the edge is here is Pitt at home, essentially coming off a bye week and they are the healthiest they have been all year.  When this Steeler team is running on all cylinders, IMO they are the best COMPLETE team in the league.  But Baltimore will be live as hell on Saturday Night

Eric Berry played as well if not better than Polamalu this past weekend.
