Maybe we should get some NFLers to play some Down Under Ball. Hayne knows how to shift the ball from right to left in an instant, keeping the ball to the sideline, minimizing fumbling onto the field. Lots of idiot backs put the ball in the right hand, and that's where it stays.............watch this guy some time, or catch him on film...........brilliant, lightning quick shifts

it's not just about where the fumble goes. you switch arms to have the ball away from the player and have the ability to stiff arm with your close arm. watch lynch he's really good at it. watch lockett, hes NOT

For the first time this year an American born and raised athlete played in the AFL. He plays for the St Kilda Saints. He is not a former American Footballer or prospect in that sport. He was a Basketballer. He didn't want to be "just another basketball player".
Here is his profile page on the team website https://www.saints.com.au/player-profile/jason-holmes

isport: He will, I can assure you of that.. This is a great story in the process of becoming a NFL reality. Making a NFL roster spot is an accomplishment within itself, regardless of who you are, or where you come from

Nerves got him early but that's to be expected. He did fine and got a good amount of playing time and made some plays. With Reggie Bush out he's gonna get a lot more opportunities next week which is very cool. First he makes the team and now he's getting significant playing time, something no one thought he'd do.

He made one play for 9 yards, his other three carries netted 4 yards, plus a fumble. Hardly setting the world on fire.
Good news: He will get more playing time. Bad news: If he plays like he did in game one, he will be back in Australia real soon, prepping for NRL 2016.
The NRL is purely a money making machine. They do not care about feel good stories unless it makes them money. Having Australia tune in is not enough to keep Hayne in a league where the commissioner made 44 million in salary last year alone, and total revenue is in the 25-30 billion range per year.

He is being strung along as marketing tool for his part of the world.
- If 100,000 Australians purchased Game Pass because of him that's an easy 15-20M dollars. - 49ers merchandise? Forget it.
To get off the track slightly, the NY Yankees cap has become a fashion statement to people outside of America. There is not many Major Cities in the world you will walk in the street and not see at least someone wearing a NY Yankees hat.
What does a multi national business model yield? A lot of revenue that powered the finance and resources to win 27 World Championships.
The smart sporting organizations are going global for this reason.
Jarryd Hayne is an excellent athlete in general. Very gifted.
The reality is he is 27 years old and has played a very physcial code of sport at the top level for majority of his professional career amd has also sustained knee injuries multiple times.
This looks like window dressing for the reason I stated earlier.

Yeah Reggie out is a blessing for Hayne. Although it was not a blessing for me as i had a reggie bet yesterday unfortunately.
At the start of this post, you didn't know what "special teams" were. Now your losing bets on second string running backs????? My how far you have come!!!!!!!! That's great stuff, Cheers Mate
