JAX +19.5 short write up
Agree completely that JAX is the pick on this one.
I'm not the oldest person in the world, but I've been betting for about 10 years now, and I don't remember a team covering more than 16.5 ever.
Seattle won't have to do much to win. You can say all you want about NFL players being "professionals" but let's get real here. The seahawks aren't going to be pumped up about playing the Jags.
The game will never be in question, so the crowd won't be as much of a factor. Say what you want about Henne, but he helped that offense move MUCH better than Gabbert ever could. You can't expect him to step in like he did last week and do well with 1 week notice. He'll have more chemistry with his receivers this week.
The media is hyping the seahawks as the greatest thing since sliced bread this week. Sorry guys, but we knew San Fran had issues, just nobody would believe it.
I'm expecting a 21-3 game, or a 20-6 game.
Keep in mind that at least Henne should have time to scan the field. He does have two top 2 draft picks as his tackles, who aren't busts. They've invested a lot of picks on defense as well. They also got scobee who is gonna keep the cover alive.
The books will eat up all your "small bets" on the seahawks, cuz nobody will bet big giving that many points, but nobody will be taking the jags in this one.

lol the NFC champ Niners couldn't cover +19 @ Seattle and now the worst team in the NFL is gonna go in there and get the job done, this one is starting to get that public-underdog stench on it and I wouldn't be surprised if the Hawks coast to a 30-6 victory here, JAX could easily cover catching so many points, couldn't blame anyone for taking Jags but it just doesn't strike me as good spot to make a serious move on either team, too much in the air, JAX has serious offensive issues, do you really want to bet on a team that could get shut out? Is there even a remote possibility Jax can cover without scoring? thats what you have to ask yourself if you are betting Jags
Very well said.

Strongly disagree with you on this one. SEA is the favorite 60/40, but 40% is far from "nobody". CAR and CIN are sitting at 12% and 14%, respectively. Now those are some big dogs!
I fully expect SEA to score AT LEAST 1 TD per quarter and wouldn't be at all surprised if they average more like 10 pts per qtr. This puts them on pace for 28-40 points.
The jags on the other hand will be lucky to snag 1 TD and 2 FG total. This puts them at 10-13 pts.
If I bet this game, I will take SEA. The above breakdown of total points supports the pick. I will likely 3 team tease them for 10 pts with some combination of DEN, CHI, MIN, HOU.
GL to all.

What Seattle did against San Francisco has absolutely no bearing on what they'll do against Jacksonville.
There are a million different factors between the games.
San Francisco is better than Jacksonville.
Seattle beat SF by 26 points.
Therefore, Seattle should win by more than 26 vs. Jacksonville right? Most flawed logic that's not even worth discussing further.
Let me go back the effort factor here. If you were playing your little brother in a pickup game of basketball, where if you tried your hardest, your little brother might get 1 basket at the most.
Are you going to be hustling for every loose ball, playing tight defense, and taking cheap shots you can get away with? Probably not. If the game gets out of hand, do you think the crowd will be in it at 16-0 vs. Jacksonville?
