remember being at one game in 98 and Flutie threw a TD to Riemersma on the run over double coverage , both defenders jumped extremely high but the ball looked like it was sailing into the stands , the ball dropped into Riemersma's arms like a great pitcher's sinker ...The one safety ran 15 yards to get to Flutie to tap him on the helmet after the play..Not sure I've ever seen a defender congratulate a QB after a TD pass ...
He had another similar TD pass to Sam Gash that season as well where the ball clearly looked like it fell off a table behind the defenders .
Those jump balls he would throw to moulds were either going to be incomplete or a moulds grab , almost zero chance of the defender picking it off

Anyone see the pics of shanahan and fields from the pro day today? Kyle looking like he loved what he saw, and fields seemed giddy around Kyle. Loving my bet. lol @ Mac Jones gtfo

I actually think Wilson can be a solid pro, but yea I could see fields being better. Mormon mahommes seems like a lock for #2, but I might do a small hedge at fields #2 just to be safe

@jdmoney14 I just read today Kiper saying Mac Jones was 80% chance to go 3rd...shows how much he knows, I trust the books a lot more than him on the draft. He does so many mock drafts no matter who gets drafted when he can say he predicted it in (one of) his mock drafts
Kiper and all these draft "gurus" are the biggest frauds in the sports world ...
Spot on , they've got 70 mock drafts so they can say I told you so...Even though they still rarely get more than 5 picks correct in 2 rounds ...
Oddsmakers are a billion times more accurate ...

Shanny wants a Shanny QB... Fields ain't it.... Remember when the Skins took RGIII at the top??? That was a Danny Snyder move through and through... Shanny got his QB several rounds later in Kirk Cousins....
you can bet the trifecta in Trevor/Zach/Mac for plus money right now...
your dark horse is Pitts @ 4-1 to go 3rd overall....
Thank you America

Fields is nothing like rg3 lol. Just because he’s mobile, doesn’t mean he isn’t an accurate pocket passer, he is. Fields is miles ahead of rg3 as a pure passer. Shanny does like the cousins/Ryan type, no doubt, but he has gushed over athletic qbs in the past and gushed over josh Allen when the bills tore sf up last year. Lynch has also expressed regret for passing on mahommes. They were also apparently involved in trying to trade for Watson pre allegations. I hear the media noise, and it sways lines for sure, but I’m still confident in my pick. To add to that shanny has worked with fields since high school at his qb collective camp, his friend and former player John beck is fields qb coach(Kyle talks to him daily), and if Mac was the lock pick all along like the media claims why bother setting up the 2nd pro day with fields and lance? Bet the trifecta if u want, but even with all the smoke, I’ll still be very surprised if Mac is the pick.

And you’re on crack if u think a team traded 2 future 1sts and a 3rd for a tight end lol. A team with George kittle on the roster no less. That move is made for a qb and no other position

Nothing will surprise me here with the 3rd pick.... I was merely stating the current odds. Mac is the favorite now. I realize that is not who you are wagering on, not bashing anyone's bets here. Mac, Fields & Lance are top 3 favorites to go to Niners.... Pitts is #4, I.E. the "dark horse" as there is roughly 20% implied probability that happens. Yes, I agree you don't trade three 1st rd picks for a TE (or Mac Jones) but it is Kyle Shannahan we are talking about.... he is his own worst victim in that he tends to try and be smarter than he really is at the most maddening times (see end of last 2 Super Bowls he coached) This draft could be the most entertaining we've ever seen
Thank you America

I'm not a Kyle Shanahan fan for the exact reasons you mentioned ..While a very good coach, he often over plays being a genius to go counter tendency/ againist all norms at the worst times ( at the biggest moments ?)
Nothing would shock me with this draft or anyone in today's ever changing NFL ...
I hope at least 3 of 5 qbs are busts ..lol .

Dude, I’ll walk around time square naked with a sign saying I was wrong if the niners draft pitts. There’s literally zero % chance it happens. Now which qb will it be is up for grabs, but I assure you that it will be a qb.

Huh?? I didn’t have a problem with any of the bolded, I realize the odds are fact. I do think the pitts thing is dumb because there is no chance he’s the pick. The problem I had with your post is the shanny wants a shanny guy and it ain’t fields, that’s not a fact unless u spoke directly to Kyle shanahan lol. Then u bring up rg3 who is nothing like fields except for the fact that they are both black and mobile. I then gave u facts of my own such as kyles history with fields and his qb coach being kyles good friend. So u don’t seem to like my facts lol. I had no problem with yours

end of the day, I could be wrong. Kyle will catch a lot of heat I feel if Jones is the pick. If he does that, he better be right or it could be his undoing there. It will definitely be interesting, my heart will be racing when they are on the clock.

All good man, not trying to battle here as I did not comment on your reply with your Fields facts...
I'm not saying taking Pitts at 3rd overall is a good idea or anything. Just stating that by no mean is it "out of the question" or 0% chance. If it was 0% then the books wouldn't have it a 20% implied chance of happening. We don't know what Shanny is thinking, he may have visions of a "Gronk / Hernandez on steroids" offense a la Josh McDaniels before Hernandez went full gansta. Kittle isn't necessarily the model of good health either. It's all about matchups these days and who can stay on the field for 3 downs.
With regards to Fields I made no comparison to RGIII. My only point was that even though the Skins took RGIII with that top pick Shanny DID NOT want him as his QB, hence the drafting of Cousins later in the 4th as his "hedge". Wouldn't surprise me at all if by Thursday Trey Lance is -300 to go 3rd.
Thank you America

Fields is now +450! And I just heard a local sports reporter say he is so certain that the Niners are taking Fields, and the whole Jones thing is a smokescreen, that he will blow his own head off if he is wrong.
