Reach out to Ray Lewis? Remember when that popular member of community got away with killing that guy?  Again WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?  Talent If signing Kap was going to be difference maker a team would have him.  For fack sake the Cowboys signed Greg Hardy but no one would touch Rice.

Have you seen Kaepernick against the Seahawks? He looked like a deer in headlights every time the Niners play them LOL

Personally, I don't want the Ravens to sign him I think he'll do us dirty somewhere down the line for ruining his Super Bowl dream. Imagine if he had won, it would of been him and not Flacco inheriting millions otherwise this wouldn't be a discussion right now. Harbaugh should have kept it lowkey when asked about it..

What part of the south are your Bubba friends from because every Bubba I know from the South is a football fanatic who isn't going to stop supporting their team because one guy 2-3,000 miles away is taking a knee. If you're a Jags fan, your team is playing the Colts, are you tuning out because of Kap...or because your team sucks? It's funny how the Cowboys didn't have a problem with TV ratings and attendance. How about the Patriots? The Packers? What about Atlanta? Bottom line is the NFL laid an egg last year. They put a bad product out there aside from a few teams. There were some horrible nationally televised games, the fans responded, and the NFL blamed Kap. The media helped foster this notion, they work with the NFL after all, and the notion took a life of it's own. Again, why weren't fans turning off Atlanta? The Cowboys? These are heavy red fan bases. Why weren't they turning off the Patriots? It's not because Kap made everyone feel Patriotic.
I'll end by saying this. Does everyone remember the two back to back sunday night games that ended in ties? And they weren't entertaining, back and forth ties. They were baaaad ties. And I like defensive games. Did those games receive low ratings because of Kap or because they sucked?

Why doesn't "black lives matter" when it comes to gangs in Chicago....miami.....NYC......black ppl need to have some accountability for the things WE do!!!!

Exactly....every Monday morning on the news, we hear about 30-40 shot over the weekend in Chicago....about 90% of those shooting (maybe more) are black vs black.....and no protests or BLM outrage for any of that

I am still , crash do you really think if cam newton did that he would be without a job?   Kap is good enough to play in league but not good enough to make a difference.  Why would any team take on what he brings with him, if he isn't going to be the difference maker.

Honestly, I lean to the left. But, the media narrative here is beyond "try hard". The guy isn't that good. Period. Add to that the baggage he brings.

There were other reasons the NFL saw a (slight) decline last year:

1.  Cleveland / Chicago World Series 

2.  Trump / Clinton Presidential Debates, and the large uptick cable news saw in ratings throughout the election season.

3.  Weaker than usual Prime Time Game Scheduling.

and perhaps biggest of all:

3.  NFL Red Zone is finally starting to take its toll on network broadcasts.  I used to watch entire Sunday afternoon games, now myself and pretty much everyone I know has Red Zone on the TV from 1pm-730pm every Sunday.

I find it ludicrous to think that a significant number of people turned away from NFL viewing because they were offended by a misguided, has-been dingbat who tried to make a political statement.  Gimme a break.

I was going to say this is slightly off subject but I guess it's not. I totally agree. The problem I have with blacks lives matter is that it's not agenda driven organization. And in that they are just like just like Kap. So you want to protest? Ok, what do you want to accomplish with this protest? "We want to stop police from killing black people." Ok but that's a generalization. What do you really want to accomplish? Do you want to reform police hiring practices? Do you want to reform police training practices? Do you want to foster better relationships and communication between police and the police? Do you want to drive more African-Americans to go into Law Enforcement and get rid of the ridiculous stigma we attach to that job in the black community?
I've just now, in a covers post, already suggested more to help the problem than Black Lives Matter, Colin Kaepernick, the politicians, and the media combined. The whole thing is a joke that the very exploitive media and politicians help perpetuate for their own gain. And Colin Kaepernick, a mixed race country boy raised by two white, adoptive parents, is mixed up in it waaaaay above his head. And if you count the 'fro he's like 7' tall. That tells you the sh!t is deep.

I am different from a lot of posters on covers, as I can change my mind. As I read this post, I realize that maybe Colin is blackballed, or maybe he has just blackballed himself with all the baggage. In the end, I guess it is a distinction without a difference as we will never know and that shirt looks like the post initially stated that he will never play in the NFL again.
As to the idea that he is solely responsible for the ratings been down in the league , Again, that may very well be a distinction without a difference. To me, in the eyes of the owner, most of the other things that people are saying could be responsible for the readings being down, the owners have no control over . As for Collin Kaepernick, they do have control over that and he sure seems to be having a lot of trouble finding a job. After watching way too much preseason football last night and way too many second third fourth and even fifth string quarterback's, like any rational human, Kaepernick would have a job if he chose a quieter path. In the end, that was my point all along.
