Easily, easily, the best secondary I have ever seen.

I'm only 24 though, so take it for what its worth.

I agree with that.  That Raiders secondary was awesome during the 70s and part of the 80s.  The Chiefs had a really good secondary back in the late 70s and early 80s also.

- Best Corner in the league.

- Browner is a top 10CB

- Maxwell is a top 10CB

- 2 of the 3 best safeties in the league (behind Whitner)

Cant get much better

Whitner only wishes he was as good as Chancellor or Thomas..........hell, SF might release him.

Chancellor was my Super Bowl MVP easily ... that tackle on Demaryius Thomas was sick ... set the tone for Seattle's D

EarthWake, Whitner is a solid vet no doubt, but would rather have EB, JByrd, ET3, or Kam and wish somehow magically one or two of them would venture over to Pittsburgh. I realize I changed the topic to Pitt, but I can keep hoping that will magically happen one day.

Much credit should be given to the GM who put those well fitting parts together  Those bigger, taller corners are a monster advantage for LOB...look for them to return to at least a couple more SB's in  next few years... very very  impressive

even tho i hate the Ravens they had best most recent defense in 2000 - 2001 record posted 4 shutouts in one year

i dont think any team scored 21 points on them

Yeah Raiders D was special but so was Baers however best team in history Defense every year is pittsburgh

I'll give u Haynes and Hayes from the 80s as 1 of the best cb tandems in history but Brown Tatum and Atkinson r not as good as current Seattle DBS.  Brown was HOF but Tatum and Atkinson were overrated.   Never really shut down any of the teams they played like Seattle did this playoffs

Best ever.. Pass happy league now and they shut down a top 5 all time QB and #1 offense this year.

Seattle's defensive passer rating was 20.7 below the league average.

That's 4th best of all SB Winners in the SB era. Pretty impressive.

2002 Bucs easily no. 1 at 30.2

67 Packers  22.2

73 Dolphins 21.8

Seattle 20.7

85 Bears were 19.5

2000 Ravens 13.7

76 Raiders were 5.2 above the league ave

75 Steelers were 20 below

I don't have all the teams just SB winners.
