94 49ers held opps to a defensive passer rating of 8.6 below league AVE, Seattle 20.7.

49ers held opps to 1.8 pts below league ave , Seattle 9.

Surprised no one mentioned the Ronnie Lott, Hicks, Eric Wright, and Williams with the 49ers.. 1994 49ers as mentioned above. The 95 Cowboys with Deion, Marion, Kelvin Smith, and Darren Woodsen was also really good.

95 Dallas held opps to 5.2 below the league ave and that was the best of the 3 Dallas SB winners.

Best 9er team with Lott was 81 team holding opps to 10.3 below lesague ave.

Seattle was light years better at 20.7.

79 Steelers the next best at 11.4 below.

Seattle was 1 of just 6 SB winners since 1966 to hold opps to 9 pts or more below league ave in points scored in the regular season.

The other 5 are................

1966 Packers

75 Steelers

85 Bears

2000 Ravens

2002 Bucs

66 Packers and 2000 Ravens were the only 2 teams over 10 pts below.

Those 6 defenses are the best defenses in the SB Era.

72 and 73 Dolphins were over 8 pts below.
