@ joepockeets Not sure if you read most of this thread but what you are saying is exactly what I have been trying to get across. Your right he had a ton of talent at Alabama and a coach that OC that knew how to run it all. NE is the absolute very opposite nobody knows what the hell they are doing even supposedly the best coach of all time NE is pure trash not sure there is a car bad enough to compare it to I will stick in the GM line and say an old 2001 Chevy Cavalier one with 300,000 miles on it. Give Mac the same Cadillac talent he had at Bama and he would be right back at it do you think he forgot how to play football.

 No I think u are missing the point here..Sure Mac has not had great talent at NE..however...It does not make excuses for his poor play, which has nothing to do with talent on the team...His WTF INT's is why he got benched...Nothing to do with talent...Stop making excuses and blaming the talent or coaches for his poor play... Part of his INTs is because of his noodle arm...He has no zip and has the weakest arm amongst starting QB's...Poor footwork and pocket presence...

You should watch some of the same highlights and see the easy short passes his receivers turned into huge gains. His strength was that he was a good decision maker and could go through s progression, which made him good in the Patriots system. His know was always his subpar arm. I think there is still a place for Mac Jones and that he could potentially start again but his limitations were known before he ever stepped foot in New England. He would've not had success in Shannahan's system. The best case scenario for him was New England.

Go watch any pre-draft analysis of Mac Jones and you will hear this same exact thing time and time again. Weak arm. Poor throwing mechanics. Poor footwork. Etc.

Tom Brady had all the talent he needed in NE had the Offensive Line so good that he could have three cups of coffee going through his progressions had absolutely no foot work stood there and threw the ball to like I said tons of talent if Mac had the same he would do the same I go back to his Bama days when he was throwing the ball to Smith Waddle and Metchie his arm strength was not a problem name me one WR or great TE that he has had since arriving in NE you can't because he has had absolutely no talent there that knew how to run great routes and usually if they got open they would have run the wrong route and he was passing to the route they were suppose to run. The problem with most in here you can't admit that NE other than their defense is a A GARBAGE TEAM that truly should be 0-15

For the first number of years Tom Brady was in NE they didn't even have to clean his uniform for 4 or 5 games the man never got hit or sacked never got dirty.

No i'm not saying Mac is Tom Brady but Tom had no problem leaving NE for Tampa because he knew NE was going into rebuild mode but they have never even came close to rebuilding. So he goes to Tampa drags the Gronk the last of NE talent with him and wins another SB. Its ALL ABOUT TALENT.

If Tom Brady had so.much talent, names some of those guys besides Gronk. Brady made household names out of pedestrian receivers.True, those New England teams were build line out and Brady had great protection but comparing Mac Jones to Brady and saying anything about it being surrounding talent is insane. Brady didn't have a rocket arm either but Mac Jones makes his arm look like prime Aaron Rodgers.

To show you how you are treated when you go to NE listen to BB presser today he was asked why Nathan Rourke from Jax he said well hes better than having to put in a WR or RB to play if we had to go to a third stringer thats confidence when you arrive at a new camp surprised he didn't say well hes better than having to put Mac Jones in really kick the shit out of Mac.

I would really love to see Mac have a shot with the Lions and Dan Campbell and OC Ben Johnson probably the 2nd or 3rd best Offensive Line in the league and the Lions really talented offense if he played the same with all that talent then I would say your Done Mac but I would think it would be just like the old Bama days.
