Sorry earthWake, it's one of those things when one reads something, and
they interpret it one way while the person who wrote it meant it in
another way. My apologies. When I read your response I interpreted you defining potential as an insult because its pretty common knowledge IMO.
Perhaps I did the same with your 75 catch statement. When you said all
of them have the potential to receive 75 catches, I didn't think you
meant all 4 in one year (Which i agree, is rather obvious that it would
not happen). You stated somewhere before in this forum saying on paper they won't blow you away but have the ability to catch 75 balls. The research was more to give any average person an
understanding of the previous results/experiences of the four players
you listed. Then I just gave my opinion on the data and what not. I based my opinion off the stats, due to I don't follow/watch the dolphins that much. You probably have a better idea but regardless, I still can only see Bess and CJ as the only candidates to achieve this goal.

Slumdog, I appreciate the time, effort and thought you put into your response. Its much more refreshing to read something useful than your run of the mill "Dolphins sucks, Pats are #1 or any gibberish pulled clear feels like typing for the day.
I have always been very high on Bess, but he has had very little value being a slot receiver in a team who always runs two receiver sets. I expect him to have a pretty big year and establish himself as a known guy around the league to your average fan.
Hartline is underated pure and simple. He isn't very talkk, isn't very fast and is white and somehow makes play after player when the ball is thrown his way. He is currently the receiver I trust the most on the Fins..Hopefully he can get enough looks where he can shine.
My opinion on CJ is all about opinion. I just feel he was in a really bad situation last year with NE. For some reason Belechek likes the unknown players over some stars (CJ, Haynesworth, Addai.) There is no denying CJ had an awful year last year. However a change in scenery and the desire to work hard can make all the difference between a good and bad year.
All of this is speculation and opinion until the games are played. CJ could go out and catch 80 balls for 1100 yards and 10 TDs or he could catch 20 balls for 300 yards and be a non factor.
We will see.

The only facts you mention in this thread are the following.
1 - The year the Fins won the East, they had the same record as the Patriots.
2 - David Garrard's record when he started full 16 games. (Convenient how you left out the last full year he was a starter. He threw for 23 and 15 while having the Jags 8-6 going into a week 16 division game that could have won the division.)
Considering you posted 4 or 5 times in this thread, I'd expect more. This thread is irrelevant. If the Dolphins go 5-11, you would somehow bump this thread to congratulate yourself. If the Dolphins made a wildcard birth, even if this thread was bumped you wouldn;t re-enter. It's a win win for you.
Btw - The year the fins "won" the east, they finished the season 9-1 in their last 10 and 5-0 in their last 5...I think thats deserving of a division title.

"as a Dolphins fan, I'm much more excited to see Chad Johnson than anything. I think he still has some greatness in him. Some athletes need to feel like they have something to prove to be great. I feel Johnson is one of these guys. "
Well that didnt take long.

DAVIE, Fla. – Dolphins receiver Chad Johnson was arrested Saturday on a domestic violence charge, accused of head-butting his newlywed wife during an argument in front of their home outside Miami.
Johnson and his wife, Evelyn Lozada, were at dinner and she confronted him about a receipt she had found for a box of condoms, said Davie police Capt. Dale Engle. The argument got heated and continued on the drive home, he said.
When they arrived in their driveway in Davie, the 34-year-old Johnson head-butted Lozada, she told police. Lozada, who is on the reality show, "Basketball Wives," was treated at a hospital for a cut to her forehead, Engle said.
Johnson, who changed his last name back to Johnson from Ochocinco after his July 4 wedding to Lozada, was being held Saturday night in Broward County Jail where he will remain until he can appear before a judge, which Engle says might not be until Monday. He is charged with simple battery, domestic violence, which is a misdemeanor.
Team officials were "aware of the situation and are in the process of gathering of relevant information," Dolphins spokesman Harvey Greene said.

sorry for the harsh words. I was out all last night and didn't learn about Johnson until this morning. Needless to say I'm disappointed at CJ.
That being said I will wait until the facts come out. I find it hard to believe that a guy who has a lot to lose is just going to head-butt his new wife. To me it seems like they were having an argument and butted heads on accident. I may be wrong but that scenario makes the most sense.
My first thought was he was going to be cut. I hope not but thats what I think will happen. With or without him, I am excited to see the Dolphins young receiving core turn heads and exceed expectation.

As A Fins & Canes Fan, Watching Him Play Live, THIS KID IS A STUD, And If I Know Our Fins Team, They Will Let Him Go And He Will Still Be A Stud For Another Team

Released from jail earlier in the day, Chad Johnson has now been released from the Miami Dolphins, too.
This according to FOX Sports NFL insider Jay Glazer, who reported Sunday the team has parted ways with the wide receiver, one day after Johnson was arrested on charges of domestic assault for allegedly headAnd just like that, Johnson's stint in Miami is over in the most stunning of fashions.
Earlier in the day, Dolphins coach Joe Philbintold reporters he had yet to speak with Johnson but planned on doing so sooner rather later. No word on if that meeting took place or how Johnson was informed of the team's decision.
Just two days ago, the 34-year-old veteran was sitting atop the Dolphins' wide receiver depth chart, ready to begin a promising comeback. Now his career could very well be over.
If nothing else, this will make for an intriguing episode this week on HBO's Hard Knocks.-butting his wife.

What the FK do you mean wake up? - Because I was excited to see a guy play before he abused his wife? Was I suppose to know he was going to headbutt his wife.
Seriously, you are the only person on this entire site who annoys me. congrats. You say that you don't care about the Fins but you continue to post in these threads with nothing but gibberish and emotiocons.
Get over your-self. The Dolphins are my favorite team and I said they would play mediocre football and expected an 8-8 season. I'm excited to see them play because they have a bunch of young, underated players. OH MY GOD I NEED TO WAKE UP!!!
Who is your favorite team? Let me guess. By you narcissistic, annoying personality, I would bet that you like one of the top-tier teams in the league you front-running afterthought

Earthwake you really can't be serious here, are you? Butted heads on accident? Hard to believe? Bol to your dolphins this season, it's a better team without him.
