Don't laugh Thinking Rodgers and Russ stay put and I don't like this qb class at all ...
Trubisky was run out of Chicago after leading them to the playoffs in 2 of his first 4 years ..25-13 record ...
Bonehead Nagy wanted to turn him into a pocket QB ...
After a year in Buffalo where he flourished running the scout team, often getting daily praises from teammates and coaches, Mitch is ready to be a starter once again !!! ..Although the preseason doesn't mean much he torched the Bears for 200+ yards in one half ..
I'll most likely be adjusting 2+ added wins to wherever he signs ...Mitch will have a huge chip on his shoulder .
Current odds from my large local
STEELERS +165
COMMIES +240
BRONCOS +395
COLTS +425
SANITS. +450
GIANTS +750
BILLS +1300
OTHER +950

And there's nothing to laugh at. For the 3rd year in a row, this is a very unimpressive draft class. If ARod and Russ stat put, he is the best QB available. Well, besides Fitztragic, of course. Tons of heart. Strong arm. Athletic. Experience with youth left.

Fitztragic sucks. He's can't even throw trash away without the dog picking him off. He tries to throw a load in his wife then you pick him off. When he played for the Jets he would try to throw in a subway time and it would always land in the wrong turnstile. Dude will throw 4 TDs one week and then throw 3 picks for 3 weeks straight. He is a walking interception with a TD:Int ratio of less than 2:1. It's like 4:3 or something. Do you even comprehend how all-time bad that is? Plus he's 40 and coming off an injury. My guess is that he retires. His only value is for 2-4 million as a veteran insurance policy for a team with a young, inexperienced starter. No team in their right mind would give this guy 10 million to be their starter.
You have multiple threads slurping up Fitzpatrick. We get it, you're over Rodgers. You think Fitzpatrick is a good fit. I still believe you are a bot but if you aren't, don't take over someone else's thread to spew the same nonsense you have going in five other threads. If you do, you're just being a d!ck, and a troll.

Mitch Trubisky..You are saying that because he played for the Bills last season? Common...If he played for someone else last season as a backup ..you would not be saying this. Bills Homer statement huh?
Also how can you say Mitch is the best free agent when he did not even play last season in ANY meaningful snaps...oh because he played for the bills?

Mariota is a fair opinion. Who else would you throw in there though? You can't say he's just being a homer if you can't rattle off a bunch of names that are better options. You did name one that was legit though so I personally am changing my stance. Mitch is the 2nd best option if ARod and Russ stay put. There's Teddy B as well but he's just so damn injury prone. All three have similar starting experience and passing numbers. Mariota has the best TD:Int numbers by a slight margin. Bridgewater has the better completion % and passer rating by a slight margin. Again, all of their numbers are very similar. Bridgewater is a year older than Mariota, and two older than Mitch. He feels older to me. Seems like he's been around for ten years. Maybe because I follow college. I think age factors if you're looking at one of these guys. I don't think you grab one of these guys as a placeholder. I think you grab one of these guys because you think they give you a shot at winning now. You grab one of them because you think you can get 6 or 7 years out of them.
His take on Mitch is fair. Not sure why you jumped all over him for it.

You're peddaling a false narrative there brother. I've spent the better part of my 15 years here BASHING BILLS QBS , Josh Allen + Jim Kelly included ...
Many players on the BILLS defense that was #1 againist the pass this season routinely said it was because scout qb Trubisky made all the throws in practice , excellent prep for the game ...
McDermott, Daboll , Dorsey and other members of the staff said Trubisky was all in on becoming a better qb from the first day he showed up at one BILLS DRIVE ...Often the first guy there and the last to leave ....The staff kept reiterating that the Playbook didn't need to change if Allen missed any time ...The strength and conditioning staff said Trubisky was in the best shape of his life at season's end ..In practice he ran sprint drills with the wide recievers ....Josh Allen has the highest praises for Trubisky's ability to read defenses and give him excellent advice during games..
BROTHER of course I could be wrong ,but I fully expect Trubisky to be in the top 14 qbs next season it he goes to a competitive team ( Steelers/Colts/Broncos/) .....As a BILLS fan I'd like to see him start in the NFC ..

How can you make an assessment on Mitch and make that statement when he DID NOT play last season..He did not get any good offers after Chicago in his last season there. WHY? Look at Mariota who was similarly drafted #2 overall same as Mitch..he got a 2 year $18 Million deal with the Raiders..with $7.5 million guaranteed and a NO trade clause, which was huge...
Mitch..1 year $2.5 million contract with the Bills....really? and now your opinion is he is the best free agent QB this year? Based off of what exactly...His film in Chicago in 2020? Not trolling but...You are a big Bills homer...So I question it since there is no film on Trubisky with the Bills?

Probably Steelers but tons of value in that Giants' price.
I want to bet a few coins on the Giants here, thinking he follows Daboll there ...But Everything I've read is that the Giants are committed to Daniel Jones ( for now ) ..

Please stop with Fitzpatrick , he's 40 with a 59-87-1 career record ....Fitzpatrick holds the most career passing yards and touchdowns among quarterbacks who have not appeared in the postseason..
Please put it to rest

I like Mariota too , he could be a valuable addition to a competitive team ...Wish he'd take a pay cut and come to Buffalo like Trubisky did.... Trubs agent said he was offered more money to play in the afc south ( guessing Houston ) , but took less money to work on his game in a dynamic offense that encourages the qb to use his feet..
...Nagy was trash , and an abject moron for trying to turn Trubisky into a pocket qb .
Again I could be WRONG , but I strongly believe Trubisky will be solid on a competitive team next year as a starter ....True I don't have tape for ya , other than the preseason beat down of the Bears where he looked every bit as good as Josh Allen ...

same page , when I think of Bridgewater's age my brain goes to 35 ....
I like the guy, but watching him check down and hold the ball forever drives me crazy ...Still not convinced he can throw it more than 15 yards outside the hashmarks ....
He's okay , and but I wouldn't want him for anything more than a bridge to a rookie ...

No way I think Trubisky is the best of the free agent QBs.But the field is not particularly strong and depending on your needs and the direction you want to head — it matters which FA you want to take a chance on.If you want a starter until someone else can develop or if you want to upgrade or if you think you can go forward longterm with the guy — all of that has to be considered.
You can find all sorts of rankings of the FA QBs — none list him as the top guy. Some do not even list him in the top 5.But, for sure, none of the others are head and shoulders above him.So, he could be a better ‘fit’ somewhere than the others.
For example:
Fitzpatrick
Dalton
Newton
Taylor
Winston
Brissett
Bridgewater
Mariota
Flacco
Trubisky
Boyle
Gabbert
Henne
Etc. Etc.
Then this list in order of FA ranking and QB rating:
41 - Winston 87.8
49 - Bridgewater 90.9
60 - Mariota 89.5
113 - Dalton 87
117 - Fitzpatrick82.9
126 - Trubisky 87
144 - Brissett 83.1
148 - Taylor 88.2
181 - Smith75.7
200 - McCoy 80.3

Atlanta and Dave Ragone might like him.He was the QB coach in his pro bowl year. There is speculation about Ryan going to the Steelers.
Maybe Giants with Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll would be interested.Depends, amazing enough, on whether they trade Barkley and Bradberry. It completely depends on the direction they try to go to get under the cap and prepare for the draft.Nobody wants to see Bradberry traded. But like one guy quoting Branch Rickey about Ralph Kiner, “We finished last with you and we can finish last without you.”
Maybe the Steelers would prefer Trubisky over Winston and Bridgewater simply because of his better mobility, which Canada wants in his offense.
Someone like Washington or Carolina could bring him in for cheap to push their current starter, knowing he can step in if said starter looks terrible.
New Orleans might have been a good fit. Sean Payton could’ve revived Mitch. I think he deserves another shot.
Mitch isn’t a mobile QB, I’ve seen that label for him a lot & he’s really a guy who has decent straight-line speed(4.7) like Aaron Rodgers but he’s not a dependable runner(prone to nagging injuries). He’s an ineffective scrambler who struggles navigating a pocket, rolling him out the pocket gives u the best Mitch Trubisky cuz he doesn’t have to do those things but you then cut down the field to throw to & the time he has to throw it. He’s got the arm for sure, but with iffy accuracy.
Like one guy said, “Squint hard enough, and he looks better than some of the alternatives.”
“Squint long enough, and you can talk yourself into anything.”

2018 from a clean pocket he graded out at 32nd and at 35th in percentage of drop backs that resulted in a negative grade. He was 30th among quarterbacks in adjusted completion percentage, an accuracy measure that carries when looking at our ball-charting data, where he rated 30th in percentage of throws labeled “accurate” and 31st in percentage of throws labeled “catchable, but inaccurate” (as in he had relatively few of the former and many of the latter).
Another thing working in Trubisky’s favor was his supporting cast. Trubisky had clean pockets on over 70% of his dropbacks in 2018 — a top-10 mark at the position.
Only ten of Trubisky’s throws were dropped in 2018, the lowest number among quarterbacks who started more than 10 games.
we’re very skeptical of Trubisky as a passer in 2019. While it’s possible (likely?) that he makes process-level improvements, namely that he’s more accurate and avoids negatively-graded plays more frequently, it’s probably unlikely that they will be enough in and of themselves to overcome the statistical regression that his data begs. Add in the likelihood that the Bears are not the clear-cut best defense in the NFL in 2019 and things will just be harder for Chicago and their young quarterback. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Brother, I don't know why you are so high on Mitch Trubisky??? He is bad.
I didn’t get the idea he was that high on him? I think he just wants to wager on where he goes. I feel he just thinks he is the best out of the lot. I don’t agree with that. But I will say there ain’t much separation.
