2nd half
BTW - what you are witnessing is the blueprint to beat the Raiders.
It took 3 weeks for NFL coaches to figure it out - but if you have a good enough defense to take the over the top stuff out - and keep everything short and in front - the Raiders will be forced to run the ball which they just can't do.
Look for better defenses to play this exact way against this team all season.
***Not every team can stop this even though they want to. The Chargers adjusted SOS stats told me they could. Chargers were 16th in NFL in passing defense (non-adjusted), but 3rd adjusted.
ADJUSTED STATS ARE CRITICAL TO HANDICAPPING.

@vanzack
great job
excuse my ignorance but what's the difference between "adjusted stats" and where do you find this ? I've never seen/heard of adjusted vs non-adjusted defensive stats

Adjusted stats are simply raw statistics that are adjusted for the quality of the opponent. They can be as simple as a strength of schedule adjustment, and as detailed as a segment adjustment which has to not only do with SOS, but also the relative strength of that particular stat against competition segment. Example: deep middle passing defense adjusted for which offense they played and that offenses relative strength with deep middle passing.
You can get basic ones several places - a good start is footballoutsiders. Fortunately, I use a computer modeling system that I paid for that allows for all kinds of scenarios like this - and I can use intuition or stats or both to model out how I want to see stats.
