History Shows ....  teams playing like the Redskins rarely do well in the post season.
 
They have a 2.5 margin of victory, very, very small for a top contender in the league.
 
When a team with such a small pt. margin does well in the postseason it's almost always a surprise team such as the Giants last season, "rarely ever" a team with one of the best records in the conference.
 
The odds are against the Skins performing well this postseason, at this point in the season. Things can and often do change before it's all said and done.

Dick Lebeau is up to the challenge.  He loves putting together blitz packages to rattle the QB and we have a wounded animal under center tonight.  My guess is the Skins kick a FG to win this one but should be close all night.  I'm teasin Steelers over a TD and the Under.

 This pick hardly has any substance at all.  Where is the reasoning???? Because Washington is the best team in the NFL????  Washington isnt even a top 3 team in the NFL.  Their schedule has been extremely weak and their margin of victory isnt convincing.
 
They are playing the number one rated defense in football and in close games number one rated defenses usually win.  -2.5 is a joke of a line because its VERY EASY to just say oh Washington at home, "All they have to do is win", thats exactly what Vegas wants you to say. 
 
If this game was at Pitt, they would definately be a 3-6 point favorite, which makes you ask the question.......who does vegas think the better team is??????  Obviously Pitt.  You could make the arguement that Vegas just wants even money on both sides and it has nothing to do with who the better team is, but I dont buy it because nobody would take Washington at Pitt if Pitt was only laying 2.5, but people will take pitt +2.5 at Washington.
 
I wish you luck on your pick, but think that your write up and reasoning is dismal.

Totally agree with Hollywood. Well lets take a breif look at why Pitt will win. Redskins have all of 10 i repeat 10 sacks the whole year. Might I add Jason Taylor their best pass rusher is out. Not only will Pitt face a non-existint definsive line but they also get Willie Parker back from injury. That will open up the passing game for Big Ben. Mike Tomlin 3-0 on MNF and will be more then up for the challenge after last week's absoulte meltdown. Give Pitt their long snapper back last week and very good chance they win the game. Pitt is absoulutly furious and look for them to get the win easily!!!!!!

nothing in the nfl is a lock, maybe one game per season if we get lucky enough.  The nfl is so unpredictable and any given sunday any team can beat another, or atleast cover.  you can analyze and use trends all you want but IMO, it will only help to an extent.

People actually think Washington has had an easy schedule???
 
They go on the road into New York, Dallas, and Philadelphia and come up with 2 wins. And they also beat New Orleans.
 
This matchup doesn't have me concerned.

I'm waiting for 2 weeks from now when Romo and the Cowboys come to town. After the Redskins dismantle them, maybe they will get some respect.

When the Public jumps out of their seat and THINKS it's a gift then I agree it's no gift. (Jets at Oakland - I was on the Raiders)

This is a gift for someone as myself. Public is not pounding it because they still give the Steelers TOO MUCH credit. The Skins are a class above the Steelers.

There are 3 Elite teams in the NFL this year (Washington is one of them). And there are several second class teams this year (Pittsburgh/Philadelphia/Carolina).

If this was In Pittsburgh I could justify having the Skins as 2.5 point favourites. The Fact that it is in Washington is a gift to me.

Think Pitt is a little discombobulated. Skins will be fired up at home on monday night, and the Giants might have done them a favor the way they pounded on Pitt last week. Like the Skins to win a close game and cover... GL to all
