After a TD & XPT, wouldn't the kicker get credited with a score? So, 3TDs, plus the extra pts would be a max 4 scorers.
The extra point does not count as a score for the purposes of this prop.

Damn, mrdish33, I can't tell you what to do. I'm going big on the Patriots minus the points. I think it's a tremendous bet. The under isn't nearly as strong, but I do have under 55. My recommendation is to lay the 12 with New England and leave the O/U alone.

Just read the "Questions for MrBator" thread. Most of my key points are included there.

Depends on the price! What do you have?

Not interested in either prop. Longest made field goal is so random.

That's a laughable "if", TheARodShow. But just think how much fun you might have on Sunday rooting against me!

I have 20 units on under 55, and I'm figuring on around 100 units on the Patriots by the time all my betting is finished. The props are much smaller because the limits are much smaller.
Note: I don't consider the side here to be 5X stronger than the total. I am going extra big on the side for reasons I already talked about in the "Questions for MrBator" thread. It has to do with my experience at last year's Super Bowl.

Online only as far as I've seen, although you could lay -14.5 +180 at the Las Vegas Hilton. I like that, too.
Well I just got back from the Hilton and they only had -14.5 for +130. The +180 was for -17.5. I still took it but missed out on a bigger payout.

I wouldn't want to bet on Plaxico Burress doing anything special now that the Patriots are bound to give him the Freddie Mitchell/Anthony Young treatement.

They won't. By the way, the title of this thread is MrBator's Super Bowl XLII prop bet possibilities. I haven't played most of these yet. Some of them are just ideas I'm still mulling over.

Oh, man. All you Giants backers are going to take that "momentum" theory of yours with you right into the post-Super Bowl poorhouse (which I expect will be wildly overcrowded on Monday morning). Ask the 1985 New England Patriots what "momentum" did for them in Super Bowl XX after winning three straight road playoff games as an underdog. And before anyone again rushes in to tell me the story of the 2005 Pittsburgh Steelers, let me remind you once more that they were no worse than the 2nd best team in the conference but were relegated to being a #6 seed due to regular season injuries.
patriots are facing nfl history. to me that is just too much pressure for one team.
In terms of pressure, the worst of it is behind the Patriots. For any other team in football, getting to the Super Bowl any which way you can is good. For a team with an undefeated record, though, and a cloud of a cheating scandal overhead, it wouldn't have been good enough, and that's why the pressure mounted week after week on this great team. But now they're finally in the spot they wanted to be in all along, with no more mountains to climb after this last one. Pressure? Pressure was yesterday.
to me the last game of the season realized something to giants players and that was they can play with the best
Yes, but don't ignore or overlook the flip side to that coin. The last game of the season also scared the shit out of the Patriots' hopes for 16-0, so what chance will there be that New England won't be completely focused from the start going for 19-0 against the same team?

Uh, sorry about that, Chief. I mistyped. It should have read -14.5 +150, not +180. The current price of -14.5 +130 sucks, because you can currently lay -14 +132 at Matchbook.
