The interesting question is which of these props wins if the Giants pull off the improbable
Like TheARodShow before you, you're using the word "if", which in this case is as worthless as a ticket on the New York Giants moneyline. I chose these props largely because I feel this game is a Patriot rout from start to finish. No need for me to worry about "the improbable."

so if the Giants keep pace scoring with the Patriots you lose just about every bet.... solid.
Choosing your avatar and screenname after a guy that shows every year what a head case he is by having a stellar regular season then completely disappearing in the playoffs . . . . solid!!!!

Good thread, Bator. How about a little MVP prop bet? I like these options:
Randy Moss +800 Wes Welker +1100 Junior Seau +3300
I'm
definitely going to put at least a token amount on Junior. I expect
him to have a huge game, and don't be surprised if you see a pass go
his way in a goal line situation, much in the way Vrabel has been used
in the past. It's a longshot, but I like the odds. Otherwise, Welker
and Moss are good bets, especially Moss, who is due after two games with one catch. WR Deion Branch won it in 2004, and Brady 2x
before.

Bator, shit load of props to play. But I read your other thread also with a New England blowout, or at least by 2-3 touchdowns. I see that you are very very confident for this game. I just want to see your reasoning on it. I have a lot of buddies that are betting for the giants and I havnt pulled the trigger just yet on the pats. I have seen alot of other sucessful cappers that are on the Giants + the points, and then we have the Bator on the Pats huge!! I presonally like the Pats to win by 14-17 points, which is enough for me. I just want to make this a big play also, since this is the last game and plus, I'm getting married in a few months and want some extra cash for the wedding, ya know.
BOL Bator!!

What makes you like this one a lot? If the pats are up 28 in the 4th it seems likely the giants get a cheap TD late and the pats stop trying on offense.

I wouldn't want to bet on Plaxico Burress doing anything special now that the Patriots are bound to give him the Freddie Mitchell/Anthony Young treatement.
That's funny. Esp to an Eagles fan like me. Although comparing Freddie Mitchell to Plaxico is like comparing Lindsey Lohan's acting ability with Cate Blanchett

Football is all about momentum whether it is a stretch of games or in a single quarter. i understand the 1985 new england patriots, but this is a different era. that is why i ususally do not use history that far behind as far as my capping goes. it was a different decade.
Pressure is not behind them. you dont think they want hear people saying 18-1. man this pressure is building up so bad whether people want them to be undefeated or not. the pressure wasnt week in 17 it is now. i am not saying they will fold under pressure, but to play mistake free football for the 19th time. I dont care what anybody says this is the NFL...(remember this, any given sunday) new england is a different breed and a complete DYNASTY and to bet against belichick and brady is completely absurd, but i cannot lay 12' or 13 points.
Call me crazy but im riding the gmen. GOOD LUCK TO YOU MR. BATOR.. i appreciate your input. BOL..
i can tell you this one of us will win lots of money....im riding the under the whole way. with gmen. i put in a prop for the gmen to win the superbowl before the playoffs started at +3000. u dont know what i laid on it. i wanted to hedge it but fuck it this is why im a gambler.

If you're a Giants backer, I don't think you want to cite the "Momentum angle" as reasoning for your play. You can be sure that the two week layoff, the pre-Super Bowl hoopla, and the like have effectively shot any of the ole' Mo they may have had riding into this one.
That sheepish look will be plastered all over Eli Manning's face all day long on Sunday.

also really like patriots to win the toss parlayed with patriots 1st qt -3, I figure pats win toss they take the ball and that gives them a huge edge to win the 1st quarter by more than 3

I really doubt that. All season, even after they stopped covering pointspreads, the Patriots seemed to make a point of scoring last. They scored last in 12 of their first 14 wins and they also scored last in both playoff wins. I'll bet that if the Giants score a meaningless touchdown late, the Patriots will go down the field and score one themselves. They just have to have the last word.

You're vastly overestimating the pressure they're feeling. They know they have a huge talent and coaching advantage, so they know they're going to win. Pressure was mounting to get here with their undefeated record intact. Now that they're here, facing an opponent they know they can handle, why would they be feeling much pressure? Pressure to make it look good? Maybe. But pressure to avoid the embarrasing 18-1? No. They know they're going to win.
Call me crazy but im riding the gmen.
Damn, it's like you don't wanna win.

Well don't be a stupid gambler. Hedge that bet 100% the other way. You're sitting on a valuable ticket right now with that 30-1, but if you do nothing, you'll be sitting on a dead ticket in 3 days. It would be a shame to lose money on that deal. If you bet $1,000 to win $30,000, then bet $30,000 on the Patriots moneyline to win approximately $6,600.

I don't think I'm going to fool with the 1st half line. I like it at -7 EVEN, don't get me wrong, but I'm going to lay various full game spreads and prices. In addition to the cash I was already intending to risk, I've decided that it doesn't make any sense to not steal money with the Patriots moneyline. I'm going to unload on that because there is no risk in counting on the Patriots to win Super Bowl XLII.
I want to go to the game, but I have to see first if I'll be able to lay down all the bets I want before I'd have to leave Vegas on Saturday afternoon. I'll meet up with you at the game somewhere if I make it to Glendale.
