I had Lil Man stay up late last night watching his Patriots pick cash...If he's gonna take this seriously, he needs to understand the game. I spent half the night attempting to explain turnover differential and the importance of watching Yards Per Point average this early in the season. Not sure he gets it still, but he's 4...

Tonight he likes New Orleans +6.5 - he reasoning is because Saints eat Fish (i told him dolphins are mammals, but he didn't care)

You're funny dude...glad i am not the only one who asks my son who he thinks will win... Mine's 5 and I have since he was 3... He said the Dolphins tonight as well... but the turd also picked ATL last night...though a Falcon does sound alot cooler than a Patriot so I'll let that slide...

He called SEA going into OT ...was glad to hear that since I had them tied into another ...called Chargers... Lions... and 49ers on thurs. (I bet STL...ugg)... he liked the Vikings too but we are Steelers fans so I had to put him in timeout... He lost on Giants and Ravens

i haven't asked him about the spread yet...think i will start today

I,m sure he does not understand that money is involved he is just learning to decide which team he likes, nothing wrong with that just choosing making a decision between two teams or maybe he likes the colour of the logos or the uniform. I felt it necessary to cut LiL Man's hair so that he resembles Jon Gruden...I told him it's all part of being a football capper. He didn't understand. As bad as it now looks, that might have been a slight mis-step on my part....Either way we're rolling tonight and looking at 5-1.

I'm sure he tells his son how to log in place wagers etcc.. his kid probably has an online account to. Just because you dont want your kids involved in this dosen't mean that he is a bad parent for having his son pick some teams. Lil Man got it done...and is proud of going 5-1 ATS week...Although, he can't count to 84 he's proud of his 84%...Instead of watching DisneyJr this morning he wanted to discuss power ratings and Sagarin's formula for week 5 games...We're both getting used to his new Jon Gruden haircut and have decided to be Chris Berman or Stuart Scott for Halloween..He'll be picking ATS in most if not all games for week 5, beginning with Thursday night (again, he can't spell Thursday yet but knows it means football)...

I think kids have awesome luck. My oldest wins at everything. I took him to the track and he won. He wins on dumb contests all the time. Hell, he even picked the Seahawks to beat the Saints a few years ago in the playoffs. And they were losing by 10-14. I thought I would bet him a buck and layed him 10-1 odds. Just to make a point because I kept telling him there was no way and it was dumb to even think about it. Let alone bet on a team that was outclassed and losing the game already. But he insisted. And the little brat ended up winning and taking my 10.
