Happy Holidays folks......I am back posting on covers after a long-hiatus due to personal circumstances (been an extremely busy and challenging year to say the least). While I suspended posting activities I continued to scan the posts and follow some of my fave cappers on here.....Anyway, I am glad to be back and here goes my initial stab out of the gate so to speak on tonight's MNF game
Chicago Bears +7.5 (or higher) >>>>> 4 units
Chicago Bears ML >>>> 2 units
As some of the veterans of the site may know or recall....I am mostly a contrarian driven value/underdog player who looks to exploit one-sided public set-up plays. This is one such classic play.
"Bears suck...packed it in, turmoil, dissarray, coach getting fired, players unmotivated" blah blah...thats all we've heard last few weeks here in Chicago. Farve meanwhile has been the second coming of christ all year long. In this business of ours nothing is as bad or good as it seems. While Bears have played some putrid games, they have also hung in there as well against solid competition, especially at home (ie., Philly game at Soldiers Field a few weeks ago, Packers a couple of weeks ago).
Bottom line, everybody and their mother's dog is on Vikings tonite. Its in the teens this morning in Chicago. Vikings have stunk it up last two on road in Zona and Carolina. Farve and cold weather not good combo in recent years. Bears play free and loose for fun and have a very good chance to come up with an outright win tonight. Look for a close game and take the points.

Agreed, but I'm really not that confident yet. The Sunday night, Monday night system comes into play tonight on the Bears. All trends come to an end sometime though.

I can't get the thought of some similiarity between this game and NO-TB. The Vikes are struggling right now. Winning is difficult enough, let alone a cover.
Making it worse for Minny, they must do it on the road in freezing conditions. AP simply hasn't looked the same. Bears aren't going anywhere. They can play free and loose.

ATG-Welcome back! Agree about Chicago tonight.

On playbook this week, they were talking about how the Minn O Line is struggling but it is still the bears The D is so-so and Cutler doesn't have have weapons to throw to.
Will probably be a low scoring game and the could mean the bears cover

ML is a little extreme. Take a gander back at what the Bears have been doing this year. They have nothing to play for. Vikes are a media mess right now, but that doesn't translate into the whole team being a mess. They're used to playing in the cold bro, MINNESOTA. Just as, if not colder than Chicago.

I agree with your call, but does the farve/Childress situation have anything to do with the way they play tonight?
NED: lets look at it this way...if the situation has no impact, my analysis still stands...if it does have an impact it can only be one way: bad (which further supports my selection)

Agree the game could be close, but lets look at the two teams they played on the road. First Arizona, they have a pretty solid run stopping defense, and as they showed if the Vikes cannot run the ball they are pretty much screwed. The cards can also get to the quarterback, by showing alot of different looks to the offensive line (3-4 D). As of the past 2 games the Panthers have also stopped the run, gotten to the quarterback (mainly Peppers), and most of all forced turnovers. The vikes should easily run the ball on a horrid Bears defense, which means that Favre plays well and they put up in the high 20's. I also think the bears score as this is a primetime game at home, and they should score about 20. For this reason I like the over more than the game, but am still undecided on the side. GL
