One of my favorite bets over the years has been playing on the Pats after a loss/after playing like sh1t. In fact, one of my top systems in my database is the Patriots off a ‘terrible performance’:
SU:
28-3-0 (12.29, 90.3%)
ATS:
26-4-1 (10.10, 86.7%)
If you want the parameters to this just pm me^. However, I’m going to go against this one this weekend as there are several reasons why I love the Lions tonight. Most people don’t know how injured the Patriots are right now on defense, and were quick to call their defensive unit poor after giving up 31 points to Jacksonville last weekend.
While the Pats linebackers are mostly healthy, they will be missing two of their biggest leaders in the secondary, as well as their top pass rusher in this game. Everyone knows the Lions aren’t a threat to run the ball, but they have a very strong passing game causing these injuries to be huge factors in this week’s match-up. And on offense, New England is really starting to miss Edelman who doesn’t return until week 5. Yes they brought in Gordon who will be great for them later, but no way does he make a huge impact in this game after being on the team for just 3 days as the Pats have the most complex playbook in the league. I expect the Lions to win this game, and for my Pats to lose 2 in a row.
Lions +7 -115 (4x) +270 (1x)

I lean over, but this over opened at 47 or 48 or so. Lots of value gone if you take the over now. Also I don't play totals much, but I would lean over if I had to

If the Lions are going to win this game, its going to be in a shootout as Brady is not going down without taking his shots this time. Josh won't have to learn the entire playbook, just a route and a nod from Brady will be all he needs.
Better play on the OVER here, imo.
PM for the skinny on the down low

agreed. hate to go against LC on this one, but i think Pats get it done tonight. always a next man up philosophy with this team and they seem to do just as good a job. Derek Rivers starting in place of Trey Flowers they had some high hopes for the rookie last season but tore his ACL.
Pats defense will step up tonight. GL LC
Sip on that plus money honey!

Jeesh LC - you are really 25-4?I would say congrats are in order. Actually, King of Covers might be in order.Keep it up....
More people want to break his balls for losing ONE GAME (49ers), than sit back and appreciate just how methodical and introspective he is. He is truly a gift to this site that is fast becoming extinct in here. as you well know Van.......you are up their as well in my book.
There is no breaking LCs balls. He is a stud and humbly, he knows it. NO ONE can say anything that could even one iota phase him... I will say, it remains comical what people who know less than nothing, have the audacity to say to this legend....
