What matters most is the mindset of the teams and CURRENT trends like the fact breeze is unstoppable and the team is in tip top shape.

I went over every year to see how many times the point spread came into play in the playoffs, NOT including the super bowl..............


2010: 0 times............2009: 1 time..............2008: 0 times.............

2007: 3 times...............2006: 4 times.............2005: 0 times.............

2004: 1 time...............2003: 3 times...............2002: 3 times.............

2001: 1 time & 1push.......2000: 0 times..............1999: 2 times.........

1998: 1 time & 1 push........1997: 1 time & 2 pushes..............

1996: 0 times................1995: 1 time.............1994: 1 time & 1 push....

1993: 1 time & 1 push.......1992: 1 time & 1 push......1991: 4 times...

1990: 1 time.........


So since 1990, the point spread has come into play in the playoffs NOT including the bowl: 28 times in 280 playoff games, thats 10% of the time...............so 90% of the wildcard, divisional & championship games the spread doesnt come into play........................I didnt add the 4 games already played this season which the spread didnt matter.........

Not saying the spread wont come into play this weekend because it could, just be careful...............

Shouldn't that be 210 games total? 21 seasons & 10 games per playoff year not including the SB. Either way it's only 13.3% instead of 10% so still a small number. Basically one game a year. If there is going to be a game this year where the spread matters I think it will be the Ravens/Texans.

The Saints/49ers game has me  my bets are in but those Saints are that damn good.........I was on them this season but teams like the Saints that keep breaking records & covering spreads do not win superbowls.................good thing for Saints backers this isnt the superbowl.
