Personally, I gotta go with Chris Johnson right now. Favre and Manning are both having very good seasons, but CJ is almost a lock right now for 2000 yards, and will probably contend with Dickerson for the all-time record. Even when the Titans were 0-6 and couldnt do anything, he was doing great. Favre in my mind is a damn close 2nd place.

I'd say the top 3 in everyone's mind has to be...
Brett Favre
Chris Johnson
Peyton Manning

Btw I agree Chris Johnson is having a GREAT season and deserves to be mentioned, but he absolutely ZERO shot to win the award. You cannot win an MVP if your team doesn't make the playoffs.
If the voting was held TODAY, it would be...
1.) Manning 2.) Brees 3.) Favre

Completely disagree rangerz...playoffs shouldn't have anything to do with the MVP voting...it should go to the guy who has the best numbers. Of course, you don't know if the Colts would be 3-8 without Peyton because you haven't seen this team play with Sorgi. Alot of us here in New England said the same last year when Brady went out and they had Cassell in there. Looking at Peyton's numbers, they are damn good, but CJ and Favre have much better numbers.

I'm not saying they SHOULD have anything to do with the voting, but fact is they DO. Like it or not, that's just the way it is. I understand you feel like Johnson should be right up there, and honestly I would have a tough time arguing with you. But with that being said and knowing how the voting works, do you think he has any chance to actually WIN the award?
I would give you 10-1 if you truly believe he has a chance.

Hell yeah I think he has a damn good shot at winning it. Titans still have a shot at the playoffs as well if they can pull this one out against the Cardinals. If he puts up 2200 yards and 20 TD's he should get it

You also said that Peyton shouldn't come close to winning the award last year and he had 33 first place votes when the next closest guy had 4. I'm not saying your opinion is wrong thinking he should win, but he will not win.
Hell, I'll give you 20-1. Dead serious.
