Brandon Lang is a complete joke...I won his picks from a contest...got a free month of them...the idiot took the Saints against the Bears in the NFC Championship game as his "lock of the century"...its almost like he wanted me to lose money.
Anyways...reasons for my picks...you all dont care...the lines this week were not too enticing but I don't see anything below a 2-1 effort out of these.
New England is obvious and I stated the reasoning in an above post.
Pats-38 Chiefs-10
The Jags/Titans matchups are always intriguing and seemingly produce a different style of game each contest. Both teams have very similar philosophies...stop the run on defense with a potent D-Line and control the ball with the run game on offense. The Jags however have an edge in their personnel. Drew and Taylor are clearly better (right now) then the combo ofJohnson and White. The D-Line of the Jags has always been one of the best but with the addition and maturity of Harvey and Groves they now add speed rushers on the ends. Garrard should also continue on his 6:1 Td/interception ratio and be fairly successful against a questionable secondary. It's always nice to know that the team you're backing won't throw the game away...literally
Neither team is overwhelmed with talent at the WR position, but this edge also has to go to the Jags. The titans passing game is inept, #1 WR is Justin Gage, a decent pro (stud at Missouri), but nowhere near a #1. The titans just don't have the explosion to keep with the Jags...It's going to be a physical/smash mouth game...the Jags wouldn't want it any other way.
Jags 24 Titans17
The Jets will edge out Miami in a horriblty un-entertaining game...not worthy of a write-up

I took Tampa getting the points...I love their Defense...think it's a top 5 unit...but this game is pretty tough...I don't think NO can run the ball, and I think Tampa is too balanced...
