Well, lesson learned on Monday night...the Bengals are not very good. I had cited that their defense has issues and with no running game they have become predictable but I was expecting them to at least be able to move the ball on the Commanders, which they did, but after being down quite a bit. The Bills/JAX game was a very easy over so that was nice but I'm pretty sure the Commanders are better than people think, or the Bengals are worse (as a Ravens fan I'll embrace the latter). Since I lost the BIG PLAY (Cincinnati) on MNF, I took a 2 unit loss with the record, so not a positive night.
Tonights game represents a medium play for me and here is why. I think that the Giants are in some ways better than they have demonstrated but not quite as good as many would think. Daniel Jones is better on the road than he has been at home, not sure why, and the Dallas defense has been awful at home, also not sure why. The Giants were able to get to DeShaun Watson last week on 36% of snaps for 8 sacks but the Dallas offensive line is far superior than that of the Browns. Problem for Dallas is that they can't really run the ball that well and I believe the holdout of CeeDee Lamb has affected his chemistry with Dak, at least for the moment. The Cowboys have scored but much of that scoring was done in garbage time as they got blown out the past two weeks.
Had the Cowboys won those games, or either of them, I believe public sentiment would be entirely on them. But, alas, they didn't and so that's why we get a generous line of -5. Dallas is 6-1 ATS in the last 7 in NY albeit those were different teams. But so are these and I think the Dallas defense comes up big tonight and for that reason I'm taking:
DALLAS (-5)
Hoping everyone has had a great week. Looking forward to the weekend with all honesty. As always, do your own research, tail or fade, good luck to all...
