I am a strong believer in an intelligent sports handicapping applying multiple methods, all integrated in order to produce the closest possible event outcome prediction for the real result achieved on the field.
Let's call it reverse engineering and go from the final results back and see what is a most viable prediction in numbers first and then ATS and totals.
Game of the Week
LA Rams - NY Giants
ATS Opening Line NYG -2, Current Line NYG -2.5 (odds -125 to -130 at the various books)
Totals OL 44.5, CL from 43.5 to 44 at the various books
Without even trying to handicap this game applying the stats - it is clear what the Bookies can't afford to have as an outcome based on the way the lines are displayed begging for money on the Giants. That can only happen based on prior knowledge the Giants are not going to cover.
LA Rams +2.5 at the +105 to +110 odds
I am going to "risk" here $1000 flat.

Bookies can afford to do anything they want they will win no matter the games outcome...sometimes more sometimes less but always winning...its why they dont need to spend what would amount to millions of pounds to fix a game...
Sweet home ALABAMA

Your opinion. And you're absolutely are entitled to have one. Thanks for your comment.
Obviously - we disagree.
The result of that particular game will prove - at least for me - who's right.
And, I said nothing about who fixes what, if.

sportsbook.ag has 55% of spread bets on Giants and 70% of ML bets on Rams. Football Outsiders ranks the two teams at 22 (Rams) and 17 (Giants). Action is normal, line is appropriate, game seems awfully difficult to handicap at least from a line reading perspective. The teams that the sports book will be really rooting for are the Jets and the Jaguars, with around 80% of money on their opponents, per sportsbook.ag.
