I am an atheist, but I wouldn't call a religious wacko a "total loser."

Sandy Koufax skipped pitching Game 1 of the 1965 World Series because it fell on Yom Kippur, and he's in the Hall of Fame.

Read 'em and weep, boy: 883 player arrests since the year 2000. Currently, NFL players are arrested an average of once every 7 days. 

Not a majority, true, but certainly disgraceful. And those are just the ones getting caught. It may as well be called the Nitwit Felon League. Now here comes a guy who is the exact opposite of that, and people are jealous of his success.

Deeply religious quarterbacks have actually performed quite well in the playoffs. Kurt Warner was 3-2 SU and 4-1 ATS in the playoffs with Arizona, and Tim Tebow is 1-1 SUATS in the playoffs. Facts will always trump feelings. Although, I don't think Foles gets it done tomorrow.

When I hear something like this about a player, I immediately also think he is not mentally tough and I hesitate to bet on them.

The last thing the world needs is a "pastor" - especially a washed up NFL QB pastor.

not that i agree nor disagree but how does it correlate to mental frailty in your view??...i am aetheist by the way but am kind of neutral on the mental toughness thing being contradicted by those type of beliefs.

Actually, the exact opposite is true. To stand up for Jesus Christ and true Christianity in today's society (and for the last 2,000 years) requires more mental toughness and strength of character than most people are capable of comprehending, much less doing. 

To take such a stand, and suffer the resultant discrimination, prejudice, and persecution, a person has to be mentally tough to an extent that far exceeds average. And not just mentally tough, but physically tough, as well.

that Christians who live in Muslim countries endure
on a daily basis to see this strength in action.
