RG3 wants to put the whole city of Washington his shoulders. Selfish? Yes, but who wouldn't be, being the face of the franchise? It's no secret he's bothered by Cousins and would obviously rather lead the team himself the promised land, so I can understand why he's bitter..He's only a rookie everybody dont forget that. RG3 just needs a little growing up so that more exposure and experience in the league will make him humble.

Well its possible that RG3 could miss most of next season now...this could be his second ACL tear, who knows if he would ever be the same
Shanahan and the GM were crazy to play him in the 2nd half. Could've put Cousins in to hand the ball to Morris and try a few screens or slants, especially with a 14 point lead at the time

Sure, he's considered a 'gamer' at this point but what really pissed me off is how when he fumbled on the 5 yd line (?) he didn't even try to get to the ball...
i mean you better be getting hauled off if it's that bad...but he limped off. that's when i lost my respect... he just laid there like a dead fish. Where's the 'heart' ?...not on that one.
i mean he couldn't have even tried to belly crawl towards it to' give his team the chance to win' but instead SEA ices the game there.

RG3 needs MAJOR surgery now. This is why I started the thread. What RG3 did was stupid. What he said in the post game interview was a douchebag thing. I can only BLAME Shanahan to an extent. When this kid is telling you he's okay what do you do? But RG3 saying he was the "best option" is as dumb as it gets. He is the best option up to 70% healthy. He was around 40% which made him worthless. He is Almost NOTHING without the threat of his legs. Russel Wilson will have a longer and better career.

I agree completely, when you are a running qb and you cannot run, as well as not throw properly, then what good are you? The worst part is that it's not like they have Joe Webb as the backup. Cousins was solid earlier in the season and especially with the lead he could have slowed the game down and did enough to hang on and win. In the end though it's Shanahan's fault because he has the final say to do whats best for the team. Now RG3 will probably miss half of next season and possibly never be the same again.

i think it is more likely for him to miss the entire season. and like herm said, the way that he is playing, herm gave him 5 years. i give him 1 more productive season at most between concussions and his bionic knee

I never did like when the Skins drafted him. Yes, he brought excitement to the DMV area. But now he will be like a Micheal Vick that will always get hurt. Also that was selfish of him by not taking his one limp leg out of the game to give the Redskins any chance. The Defense played there butt off until that late 4th Qrt that Bob couldn't hold the ball and lay on the field like a dead duck.

Its on the coach and the medical staff, but also on management for not giving the medical staff the voice and power to step in and stop the player from going in.. OR someone from management has to step in and make an autonomous decision, such as the strasberg situation, where the nats GM stepped in and publicly said "this is my decision"...both the player and coach are too immersed in the game to make an objective decision on the spot, but more importantly accept public accountabilty for not playing and losing. this is why management and/or the medical staff need to be the sole decision maker, so public blame/perception can be directed appropriately...

Skins had the 3rd best Quarterback passer rating last season and the best ave gain per pass att behind RGIII . Highly doubt Cousins will get the starting job unless injuries to RGIII.
